Pokemon question... Maybe roasty can answer

So, you have an attack with a power of 70, your attck stat is 100 and the opponent has 100 defense. How do u know what damage u do? I thought that the attack(70) plus the attack stat(100) = 170 damage, minus the defense. That means the attack would do 70 damage. I'm not sure thought.

you dont know. attack and defense have their own way of calculating how much damage. You could always test it out but there is something random in there because if you go into a battle with a bud, and use the exact same attack (no direct hits) and you would see that sometimes the attack would leave the enemy in red hp and sometimes in really low orange or whatever it is (lmao im just running of of memory)...

I think it is base attack=70 but you have to calculate other opponents stats
