Props to support for even giving this time from their day.
Yada yada yada this topic is is so zzz
I’m rubber and you’re glue, what bounces off me, sticks on you..
Stop assuming my posts are emotional. I don’t care that much.
People casually throw words around like "manipulation" and don't always understand what that actually means.
You can choose how much any price is, if its too high chances of it selling is very low if at all.
If you offer a lower price than the general populous then it is likely to sell quickly.
Whichever way you go is absolutely fine and your business, nothing wrong with it, and best of luck.
Simple.
If Person A lists a post about an item for sale and Person B and Person C are making offers on that thread, however, if Person A also then asks his friends/makes alt accounts to put "fake bids" to compete in the bid against person A and Person B.
That is "price manipulation"
It's something that might be frowned upon by those with more of a conscience and honest however it isn't anything necessarily illegal.
Even happens on a massive auction website such as Ebay.com
This sort of thing has been going on since the days before holy scriptures were even written, the best you can do to protect yourselves is educate yourselves as best you can.
Knowledge is power.
Also wise to remember "If there's smoke there's fire", if something seems a little suspect/suspicious just stay away from it and you'll less likely lose out ^.^

I don't understand why these threads keep popping up. Do you want sts to regulate what you sell and how much you can sell it for?
Even if you buy an item for more then it's worth to someone else guess what, it was obviously worth that price to you. It should be so simple, if you don't like a price don't buy it.....
@Mythocrisis and to everyone who thinks setting up an auto should be punished.
This game features a free market system where developers can't just interfere and impose price ceilings.
Price manipulation is a broad term, and in this context, it mostly refers to the creation of fraudulent offers. Where It motivates legitimate buyers to raise their bids in order to outbid offers that don't even exist.
Setting up an auto, however, does not constitute price manipulation, no matter how ludicrous it may seem.
Auto prices have been established to give buyers another way to pay without the fuss of bidding or the risk of losing to a competitor.
Auto prices should naturally be higher for the convenience it provides. But that doesn't necessarily define the value of any item.
If a seller wants a specific amount, they'll mark it as "fixed price".

How much do you want to PAY STS to hire additional employees in order to regulate the market? What mandatory fee do you want?
Get it?
Just watch the market. Most items are not that manipulatable. Watch people try it. It is a fun game to watch them buy up all the lower priced items, and for the price to regularize again in a day or so.
For some rare items, sometimes a group of players tries this. Easy solution: Avoid those items.
You have choice. Or are you saying you do not?
Star light, star bright...
If we all know is over priced and manipulated why buy it? It’s a mercher’s trick to hoard and suddenly say player A bought for xxx (alt) the player A sold to player B (alts buddy) . Or one who owns a high profile vanity receives house mail by a manipulator (yes I still have the letter) giving complete instructions how to manipulates a popular item.
At the end of the day, do I care? No. We can’t take it with us when we go. My advice to all who want to buy a collector piece or a popular item, seek out well known collectors and ask them if they know the value.

Sure everyone "succesfull" has some haters but at some point im starting to wonder how much is true of what either side says because its hard to believe so incredibly many players seem to hate you for -according to you- no reason

Click the spoilers!
Some gamer players now is full of toxicity, 2018 is past we are playing now at 2021 then need to move on, i always read that when a thread issue is manipulates, they attach the name to the encryptions but no one pays attention to them because they are just making fun of themselves.
You pay way too much attention to it, when you finally learn to ignore this behaviour and stop complaining about it only then will it stop.
From their perspective youre giving them every reason to continue.
Everytime you address it or play a victim card they are only motivated to keep it up, reacting is only stimulating.
So what they talk behind your back does that make you any less of a person? Ignore it
Same goes for any other form of toxicity aimed towards you.
Someone trashtalks me? Cool, why should i care?
