2x Elixirs supposed to work like this?

I start off with 3472 exp. I have 158% exp, 20% from pet 38% from gears 100% from base. Correct.
I complete a 1500 exp quest and end with 7342 exp.
7342-3472 = 3870. 3870 being the amount of exp I got from the quest.
3870 divided by 1500 is 2.58 which is 258%.
258/2= 129%. I start with 158% though.
I thought the 2x elixir will double everything like 2x exp day does? Meaning 158% would of been 316% giving me 4740 exp from a 1500 exp quest.
If its intended to just give 100% bonus exp can it be changed in the description?

Xp elixirs do not stack multiplicatively but simply add their bonus just like speed set.

Wow, still wrong descriptions after almost 10 years of game, thats what we deserve lol...yea its very hard to write "ADDS 100%xp" instead this fake "double xp", wondering if those dmg elixir from this event are same

Yep +1. Sts should change description to 100%xp bonus instead of double xp. Its really confusing. I was also gonna create a thread asking if it was additive or multiplicative. But you beat me to it i guess.

It is still the highest xp elixir ingame by far.

Its no trickery, when i read double xp i would assume we get double the NORMAL xp.
Its a vague description but they aint lying.
Up to your own interpretation i suppose, regardless imo its fine the way it is.

yeah its no trick we all get used to double xp event we know how its work ,not strange when this elixir says double xp most ppl would assume its same as the double xp from the event,also the fact that the effect count down everywhere and price of this elixir before the update is quite expensive so ppl would think maybe its true the double xp is same as the event,well its not.
