    Default Pally Assistance :)

    Hi everyone!

Im a level 55 enchantress at the moment, and I recently switched to a paladin. I have Fury Fighter's Gemstone sword set equipped.
I was wondering if I should keep this set, or craft it to make a fortified set.

Thank you very much and have a nice day!

Keep it! It's armor is fantastic but where it really shines is its regen abilities. I use FF and RR, there's nothing in the fortified for a mage imo. Fortified is great for bears and war birds but it just doesn't cut it for mages.

I would stay with fury, you need ms which forti won't have. (except set bonus)
Pocket legends: Eagle (Endgame Bird), Magic (endgame mage), Getnuked (voodoo mage)
Star legends: Eng (Engineer), Rapid (operative)
    Dark legends: Sucker (vampire queen)

I'm a Pally through and through, always have been always will be. Except temporary experimenting with dex and int mage. Level 1-56.
Ok. Do not craft Fury into Fortified, it is bad for mages. The regeneration is bad and losing the dodge is suicide. However, with the proper build, and ring, you may like fort set in pve. It definately fails in pvp.
A lot of peoples specs with fury are horrid. Str/int is the worst combination in game for a Mage. Most people that are split stat as such, are dual. Which I am against. Many who try pally can not adjust to the change in role your mage will take on. The decrease in damage combined with the low hit % is too much for some to take. Being a Pally is not glamorous, you won't be a killer. But if you know your role and play it well you will make your group as a whole, whether in pve/pvp ffa/or ctf balanced and successful.
If you want or need some fine tuning advice please add me in game. I always enjoy helping other pallies. I'll gladly help your with your build and give tips.

+1 to dtf, keep the fury.

Nothing annoys me more, as a bear, than a pally I have trouble killing, who won't run out of mana.

Arguably, a pally can be a better PvP tank than a bear. Pally with fury of course, any type of character (more so mage) with no mana is almost useless.

Maybe so! I love going up against 2 or 3 opponents at once. Even if I die, it is highly satisfying knowing they all used all their buffs and spells killing lil ole me and will shortly, if not already are will die. Either i'll take one down with me or my teamates will either A. Finish them off thus avenging my death at a rate of 1/2 or 1/3 or B. Kill them before I die which I prefer lol.

Correct me if I'm wrong DTF, but a pally with fury set has how much MS? 36? Not sure.

Anyway, does that 30+ MS allow you to spam your skills pretty much nonstop? Not nonsense spamming of course, but in the midst of battle spamming.

Depending on your attributes you may have anywhere between 30-37 ish mana reg. No int 30, str/int (depending on how much strenght you have and the ring up to 37 or so.
Sometimes, strong staff mages like Amy in a 1/1 battle will sap your mana and the regeneration will not allow you to even get a spell off lol. Dex mages with their no blast shot and auto will keep your mana low as well. But the majority of the time yes, it is more than enough to support your shield and do endless combos, which u referred to as "spam your skills" lol jk I know what you mean Elly.

    Ah, interesting!

I thought using Mana Shield was always a bad sign for a pally, like a last resort. Whenever I see a pally use one, I know he's going low on HP (and probably on mana if he's been fighting), so I know it makes a good time to nuke him.

The answer is simple. Freezes. Unlike other classes that nuke a combo to kill asap, pallies must rely on their dodge armor and regeneration to wear down an opponent. Instead of hitting freeze fire, use your projectile freeze to stop then and advance to make use of auto attack. The other freeze may be used to combo hot flash or keep then frozen to pull off another combo w your first ice (since it will have cooled off by now.)
@ Elly some may use shield as a last resort. My friends I ctf with know that when I am in sewer set and they hear my shield go up I am indeed in major trouble. Since sewer has 14 reg (at least mine does 15 w rev) but higher dodge and armor I tend to not shield til emergency. As a fury mage I will shield early but not int mage early like a buff. Timing is super important.

    I see.

So to some pally's, Shield is just like an alternate defensive buff? So, BoV/BoM - when they run out, Shield - BoV/BoM again, etc? Hmm.

Elly! Idk what bov and bom mean!
And yes, the only difference between me and ghosot is our take on shielding. Mines this his is that.
I've had some opponents call me a noob for shielding early or at all saying pallys dont use/need shield. I use shield to increase my survivoribilty!

Lol!! I knew that. Geezos I must have been sleepy. Brain fart! Ha. Most mages in general use all their buffs at start. (bom bov rev shield) as a pally, we have more options depending on who the opponent is.
Ive a sure fire way to kill staff mages which is our natural weakness.
