Good lord NO
auras already bother some of us who want an option to turn them off
Imagine a whole town filled with flashing overlapping sounds
You’ve thought of a way too make them more obnoxious

since we have full control of sound in settings . maybe a toggle on and off for other players auras sound effects . and of course a toggle off for your own character .
but i dont agree that we should be able to take other players vanities off our screen . thats just crazy

Something else to have to turn off, zzz. Pew pew from my Bounty bow became annoying after 5 minutes. Spending more time in my house or offline.
I started playing sts games in 2013 and have never had the volume on.
I would prefer auras with a proc sound, I mean like the style of the musical set, I don't remember its name, when you kill a mob you hear a guitar, etc.
Anyway most of the time I turn off the sound xD
One serious post to cap this off:
- A sound effect loop for most auras wouldn't be a good idea. Considering the variability of ambience tuning and music themes in different areas the addition of a third piece is unlikely to sound good.
- Auras and vanity proc effects with sounds will probably happen more frequently but they will still be rare. Indeed, most users don't have their sound turned on (as we - even I - tend to play on devices where we can put on our favorite music, podcasts and movies in the background).
- Plans for specific audio auras have been in the works for some time and they are likely to be inaudible in certain instances to avoid the cacophony indicated in my first point.
Thanks for the consideration, all ;-)
