Can someone please tell me what the fascination with auras and wisps is all about?
I just don't get it.
I know why the developers keep releasing them, that's obvious but why players want their characters festooned with glowing lights and all manner of stuff flying around them is beyond comprehension.
Boats, maracas, something that looks like a tv set, a weird looking thing that I can't make out..what next?
Oh let me think..tap..tap..tap.🤔 What about an effigy of Santa Claus and a sleigh with half a dozen reindeer and a fir tree for Christmas? You can get to work on that now and it should be ready in time.
Just please give us the option to turn the effects of other players auras and wisps off please or at least do a poll asking players to vote on on whether or not they want the option.

When they see that by creating ugly auras in half the time they get twice the money they won't bother spend time to optimise the game and make good items etc. Good old AL we will miss you, I guess next we will have flying cars and lazers and the mini games will be Tetris and candy crash instead of killing mobs and cool bosses

I would be satisfied if they gave us an shark hunter, we had dragon hunter at 46. Take inspiration from there, my favorite staff design.

Besides the show off factor, one reason ppl are hooked on sparkles is in part due to our biology

There is a part of our brain that is fixated on twinkling lights, why? Water, fresh running water
Stagnant water is foul, but running water is more likely to be clean and in the sun - sparkles
“Water = life” is etched in our primate mind in order to help us survive
But the result is also ppl fixating on diamonds, glitter, & flashing casino lights that don’t help us for a damn thing

Also fire has a similar effect & no reason to go off on why we might be wired to fixate on it

All that aside;
I HATE AURAS!! EVERY SECOND OF THEM IS LIKE A MILLION KARONS STABBING ME IN THE BRAIN WITH ALL THE MAKEUP THAT WAS TOO GAUDY FOR K-POP VIDIOS - FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GIVE US THE OPTION TO TURN THEM OFF LIKE BADGES YOU HEARTLESS MONSTERS !!

I don't like sparkly things and glitter, so that theory doesn't apply to me. Magpies like shiny and sparkly things though.
Besides, it's not just the auras, it's the wisps mainly. They get in the way and clutter the screen. I hate clutter.

Can’t disagree brethren, plus I discovered I have more cone receptors in my eye than most ppl so auras are basically a abilist hate crime against me-

I did know a couple of those, but ty for adding some facts to my addled brain (heat sinks are particularly interesting for some reason)
