I dont think it is necessary
Let me explain why before jumping on me
First
Only work we have for story tokens now is to unlock pets slot and use to remove pets from slots .
Second a new player do not need experience the game a lil bit before using such features
Because it is a mmorpg .
Third
You can het story tokens from
Red eggs and various chest including other currencies .
I mean they can do that but it is unnecessary if we dont have any other use of tokens other then pets .

For hardcore seasonals they are needed to get original pet aps. Need use tokens in story token vendor. It is possible to get all those in one season, u just can't miss not even one daily reward plus the 3x double story token mini event during season.
