There is a natural evolution of games with new dlc. It’s where you have a viral game with lots of people online, and you reach the peak number of simultaneous players online early. Then, even years later, the player might notice this and think that somehow the game is less successful. But in reality the developer is making more sales than they were when there was peak user activity. The average customer is spending much more than before. This is a curious trend.
