I am kind of confused, does "first 3 stack" only applies to the additional boss damage stats or also the +2 damage?

When a jewel has write " only x stacks", that means all the attributes stacks until the limit of gem, when the gem limit(3 in the case of archon)is exceeded, only the primary stats are considered.

Is +2 damage considered as a primary stat? And correct me if i'm wrong, primary stats are those +DEX/INT/STR stats right? Because I am kinda baffled on how my 3 weak chaos ring is much stronger than my 3 stacked archon ring (I have a dagger with 3 stacks of archon too that's why I wondered about this)

Yes, primary stats are dex, str and int.

Anything other than those primary stats would not stack correct? So basically all archon jewel stats (+2 damage and +5% Boss Damage) wont stack anymore if I already have 3 of them in my set?

Yes, I haven't tested with new gems, but older ones work like that, and I assume that new ones do too.

Thanks g! I appreciate your help, now time to release these archon jewels (got 6 of them that wont stack anymore )
