Ever thought how much better Arcane Legends would be with voice chat? Not global chaos, but a clean system where you can talk with your party or mute/unmute yourself when needed. Let’s talk about why this could level up the game.

Typing mid-battle slows you down. Voice chat allows instant callouts, strategy swaps, and alerts. Whether you’re farming elites or running events, timing matters.

Partying with randoms becomes more personal. You can actually talk, laugh, and plan together. Friendships are built faster when you hear a real voice behind the character.

3. Optional & Controlled
Not everyone wants to talk. That’s why there should be mute options, push-to-talk, and voice chat only within parties — no open world spam. You choose who hears you and who you hear.

4. Mobile Games Are Evolving
Games like Call of Duty Mobile, Fortnite, even some MMORPGs, already have party voice. Arcane Legends deserves to evolve too — it’s still got one of the most loyal communities.

I appreciate the response, but using Discord isn’t a true solution. Not everyone has access to or wants to use external apps while gaming — especially mobile users. Arcane Legends is a social, team-based game, and in-game voice chat would take teamwork, PvP, and events to the next level. It would modernize the experience, increase engagement, and keep players in the game longer — instead of pushing them to other platforms. Games like CoD Mobile, Fortnite, and even smaller MMORPGs have integrated voice — why not Arcane Legends too? This game has so much potential, but players want features that match today’s standards. Please reconsider — it’s not just a want, it’s a competitive step forward.”

I appreciate your passion about this issue!

That said, we will not be reconsidering our stance. We strongly believe it would be a step backwards.

Voice chat would chew up a bunch of additional bandwidth. Many of our players live at great distance from our servers and already experience some less-than-optimal connection speeds. Voice chat would make this significantly worse. This is why I suggest Discord as players who have fast connection to our servers can afford the additional bandwidth and won't be affected negatively... whereas if we did it for all connections it could degrade the experience for our most distant players.

Policing toxic trash talking, harassment, name calling, threats and more would become a big burden for Spacetime. It's already challenging to keep up with the amount of negativity that spews from failing players, scammers, and harassers that only have access to chat and mail. Opening the game to this broad avenue for harassment would reduce engagement and likely encourage good players to quit.

If you have access to mobile gaming what prevents you from downloading discord exactly? You can literally have a discord voice channel run in the background while you play AL. Way better than relying on the game itself to have that that could probably just put more pressure on the network and would put people in even bigger ping issues than they experience now.

Tap/click on someone's ign on the public/guild or whatever window and chat will redirect as pm to that person. It exists already.
