Descend into the hidden crypt below Windmoore's town street.
Face the terror for a chance to collect new vanity halos!

The Halo Hunters Event runs for one (1) week
Starting at 1:30PM Central Time on May 22nd
Ending on May 29th with a three (3) day cooldown.

Freda, Pina and the Crypt



Locate Freda, one of the Temple's most promising architecture students, near the fragile entrance to Mortarax' Crypt.



Use a 'repair kit' to make the entrance to the crypt usable... so that you may descend without dying!
NOTE: the entrance to the crypt remains unstable and must be repaired for each entry.



Mortarax Crypt Entrance Repair Kits can be crafted from Building Material.
Building Material can be looted from monsters throughout Arlor.
Fight monsters at or above your level for the best chance to loot Building Material.

You can also purchase repair kits for Platinum directly from the Crypt Entrance.

Terrors of the Crypt



Freda's research has led her to believe that the crypt below Windmoore is filled with treasure.
Unfortunately these treasures are guarded by a terrifying army of undead monsters
and ill-fated students who have been condemned by Mortarax' death magic!

Crafting

Loot a rare Recipe from Mortarax to craft the Golden Spider Web Halo:



Use your surplus crafting materials to make the Crypt Crawler Title:



As well as the Halo Display Case (to show off your Halo collection):



Complete Pina's questline to unlock your ability to craft Cryptareth (with the right components):



Cryptarteth Egg is a key ingredient for crafting Ghost of Cryptareth:




Loot

Defeat Mortarax the Vile for a chance to loot the Amethyst Crown Halo!



There's also a rare chance that Mortarax drops her Badge:



And the charcoal black "VENOM" Title wrapped in a spider web:



Mortarax will also drop the Locked Flames of War Halo Crate!
Open this crate for a chance to loot the Flames of War Halo.
Searing flames surge upward from this Halo when you are in motion...


This is a specially-priced crate - 3X Pulls for 5 Platinum!

Coffins in the Crypt also contain special loot including the "Mortarax Crypt" entrance decor item:



Named Miniboss monsters (Ireni, Ketex, Sylas) have a rare chance to drop
Golden Spider Limb Vanity Weapons:



Lastly, Mortarax the Vile will drop Level 1 - Level 85 Legendary "Rachnarus" weapons with Cave Spider proc:
Upon striking your opponent this weapon has a chance to summon a Cave Spider Web from the Abyssal Depths!
This web reduces your target's speed and damage for up to 3 seconds.


Store

Look for the Locked Herald of Death Halo Crate in the Platinum Store!
Open this crate for a chance to loot the Herald of Death Halo.
A magical shockwave bursts from this Halo each time you defeat an enemy...
Note: this shockwave is a 'Vanity Proc' which has no effect on combat.
This is another specially-priced crate - 3X Pulls for 5 Platinum!

The locked Locked Golden Spider Crate and Locked Class-Specific Golden Spider Crates are also in the Platinum Store.
These crates contain equipment and offer a chance to loot Arcane and Mythic items!

Crypta and Ghost Crypta could have been used to craft a Golden Crypta Egg. That lightning from the Blood Belt is misleading — I assumed the golden explosion was the visual effect of the Halo. I like Vanity proc idea, but I don’t like the Halo model. I wonder if it’s worth giving the Vanity proc slot only to Halo vanities, and releasing various Vanity proc gems that we can slot into the Halo of our choice.

I agree with you, a renewal would not have been bad, regarding the PET since its store price is very low and almost certainly no one is going to craft it.
