I can attest to this. Siejo is probably one of the most helpful guys I have seen. It's kinda eerie :O

Nah, see, GoA's were selected by the devs, there was/is no application process, and most who got picked weren't even expecting it. Therefore, it's not like anyone can become a GoA on a whim to get the "perks" we speak of. From the sounds of it it should be pretty slack to become an AoA, if you can apply and have your friends recommend you and stuff. Idc either way because I'm not applying, and barely play PL these days, but I think an AoA vanity shield should be enough. Is there really a need for costumes, colored names, and all that jazz?

I hope I got my point across, I just mean that becoming an AoA will be way easier than GoA, if you apply and want it bad enough, and are good with words when applying.

AoA members will have separate, low level accounts. The main point of the costumes (and names, or whatever else) is to help differentiate them from a regular user. That way a new player can spot them right away as something "special." Sure, there are people who will apply just so they can get something - but it's easy for anyone to see through that.

Ambassadors will be picked because they're already doing what an ambassador would do anyway. The program itself is A) a reward for those already doing it and B) a way to make helping new players more organized and fun for the people who like to do it

Thanks for clarifying, Moderator. If I'm not mistaken, it's quite like the GOA program then; almost like a sister program, no?

I miss hanging out too bro, unfortunately I gave my glyph away when I quit, and am currently poor and gearless. Not even sure how I could recover from that..

Plus I find Nuris extremely boring, my guild is super lame there and to get in a good one I'd have to leave KoC in SL, which simply is out of the question for me . It's really kind of a shame I lost so much interest in PL, I'm hoping Mt.Fang reignites the spark.

I will try drop in to chat more often tho!

I can definitely give you some loaner gear should you need it. I would give you the set itself if I didn't just suffer a 17M loss from the announcement. It's all good though. I'll PM you so I don't take this thread off topic, lmao. You can PM me as well.

He is one of the most under recognized players in PL along with AttackElf, MoogerFooger, and Gluttony. How they managed to escape the GOA position flummoxes me. He is definitely one of the most deserving out there.

To have the best results, I would like to see how new people react to ordinary low levels, not those who are in special costumes.
Yeah, and that is kind of what we're trying to help with. Many new players act that way because its completely new to them, they dont have friends there, its an unknown environment. I've seen foul-mouthed new players turn into super great, helpful community leaders - its all about making that first impression. Most all of the time when they realize theyre in a great place, that kind of thing stops. And the costumes are there to kind of help awe them. Thoughts?

Definitely would call it a sister program. Guardians are more involved in the high level stuff of the game, this is for those who just like to make friends and lend a helping hand!

    This is a great idea.
There is someone always watching the AOA members. There will be people who make alts and be in these groups. The devs will pop in and test you. I bet they made a special mini program that tracks the AOA alts outside of your normal chat. There to smart to just let it fly and hope it goes good.

    ****************************************
There is no way a GOA should loose anything. They did what they do everyday without knowing that STS would put in a program to let them shine. I think most of them should have there reward.

    **********************************
I think the costume or shield should stand out. Maybe a bright shield with ? on it. Maybe a floating thing over your head.

I think they should have something so they stand out. There could even be a add into the starting quests of the game to say. "If you see someone with this (whatever). They will help you ."

Mod when will the first batch be chosen? Sometime this next week or do you think it will take a little more time to straighten everything out?
