It depends how technical the design is. For these I did use old drawings I did back then, but they were too blurry to really work off of, so I pretty much free handed them. Putting a hand drawing with low opacity and tracing it on another layer is a good method and is used a great deal. It's just so convenient lol.

I managed to do the bear this morning, but unfortunately due to the random snow storm my town lost power, and AT&T has reduced my iPhone to an iPod touch with no wifi. So I'm not able to post the pic (the spacetime forum app isn't working for me either. It'll be a miracle if this post even makes it)
