Hey yall.
So as some of you know, I made my own guild called "Star Legends Help", run by my toon Knowledgebase. I am still very much involved with the Sparkling Pwnies, this account was never associated with them and is my official non-pwnie side account. This here is a very brief description of what this guild is about, as I feel it's fairly obvious what the mission is.
What is 'Star Legends Help?'
This guild will be made up of a maximum of 11 players, whom I will personally hand pick, who will simply patrol the base of Blackstar (and the Outpost if needed) looking to answer questions people may have about the game itself, mechanics, advice...you name it, and if it's Star Legends related, we'll answer it.
Why waste time with a Q&A Guild?
Not everyone uses the forums, plain and simple. These forums are the main way a lot of us find out about new events, character builds, strategies, basically anything we use in game. Those who do not know about the forums or simply just don't use them are at a huge disadvantage. We are here to give them some of that ground back.
Are there any requirements to join?
- I'm looking for 10 other individuals other than myself to make up this guild.
- I will be taking members who are knowledgeable about the game to the point that they can give advice to others that is valid and useful.
- I will be taking FLUENT English speaking people. This is not a shot at those who aren't fluent in the language. I respect yall for trying to type in English to make it easy for us all, I really do. However, as the majority of people speak English (might not be 100% true, just an assumption), I'd like my members to be fluent and grammatically correct. We're a help guild, typing in slang or broken English just won't come off as professional.
- I will be taking people from different time zones. This is important. I want people from all over the world who can be on when the majority of us are sleeping. All areas covered. We have to be fair to those Aussies now, yes?
- I will be taking people who speak other languages. Like I said, not everyone in game is fluent with English. Someone who can speak their native language can make their comfort level rise tremendously, and lower any risk of frustrating them when we can't figure out what they're asking.
How do I join?
If you think you're up to the task, simply fill out this:
Character names and levels:
Character applying for Star Legends Help:
How many days a week do you sign on to Star Legends?:
Are you a fluent English speaker?:
Do you speak any other languages enough to converse with others? (list them):
Where in the world do you live? (Country is enough):
Are you knowledgeable in PVE, PVP, or both?:
Which character class are you an 'expert' with?:
If you are selected to join I will send you a message on the forums, and we will start from there. Being in this guild may be a side project for most, but I expect my members to be on their account a few times every week. With the new update coming out, people will have tons of questions. This is a prime time for us to get ourselves out there and stop the mass confusion. Failure to remain active on your account (unless letting me know otherwise) will result in removal from the guild. More members may be added as I see fit.
It really is amazing what you can do for people just by putting yourself out there. Just the other day I was approached by a member of the forums who was a PL player switching over to SL. He had an engineer account, but had absolutely no idea what he was doing. I spent about an hour going over everything with him about engineers, and eventually our conversation moved to other topics. It's a great way to meet people, and it feels good to know that you possibly saved someone from quitting the game from confusion and lack of knowledge. Everyone has questions; not everyone is willing to ask the mass public. Put yourself out there, and you'll be surprised what you hear.
Hope to see some worthy applicants. I'll edit this post if I see things I forgot or mislabeled.
