Not to take sides or tear you but this "law" isn't enforced. 90% of.children who play video games have rated M games.who doesn't have cod? Or halo? Gta? All are rated M all kids have heard of them and most own one or the other.but do they get arrested for it? Fined? Nope.
Another example of these so called illegal things is jailbreaking of an apple device.its actually become close to half and half between non jailbreaking and jailbreaking users.not to count those who have attempted to jailbreak or those who want to jailbreak but are scared to mess up.just think about it

A game rating such as by the esrb is independent from the government, the government does not enforce it. Some retail store and online markets do. The governments only thing to do with it is making the gamea be for 13+. The only way it could be restricted higher is by STS adding to their ToS which i would not at all mind them doing.

I can assure you from personal experience these laws are very enforced (i was that kid who tried to buy dead space without his parents, i was told no by the cashier after he checked my ID). You claim 90% of kids play those games, i won't argue with that because you are probly right. HOWEVER, nowhere did i say that you could get arrested or fined for playing games like CoD under the age rating, i said that you cannot buy them without your parents there to tell the cashier that you could or you have to have your parents buy it for you.

You beat me to the punch... people thinking you get arrested or fined from ESRB lol... it isn't legally enforceable in any way. But most stores and companies follow the ESRB and won't sell your game unless it has and ESRB rating.
The only legal thing the ESRB has is that if ur game is rated by them you are legally forced to print the rating clearly (for physical games in a specified place)
So you all dont take my last post seriosuly it was meant to be quite part of a joke im not gonna go into a gsme just to see if i get banned...

Lowly says that because this is an mmo that the age restrictions mean something and that you will be banned, but ely says that only the 13+ rule applies because of chat box stuff unless it is added to Tos... I admit that I dont know what the 'rating' will be, but you cant be fined or arrested for breaking a game rating, all that will happen if STS requires 17+ (which would be cool imo) is you would get banned if STS finds out you are underage.
The next question would be: Will the DL forum age be increased if the game is 17+
