    Question Official Dark Legends Feedback Thread - Player vs. Player

    Dark Legends features Player vs. Player combat (PvP). To engage in PvP, go to the Map and then to the Vampire District. In the Vampire District, go all the way to the left and you fill find the Peaceful Meadows Asylum. Enter there and you will be in a 5 vs 5 Capture the Flag match. The match will only start when there are 3 or more players on each team.

    After you have played Dark Legends and engaged in PvP combat, we would like to hear your thoughts.

    5. Non-Constructive posts are prohibited.

    Below is a non-exhaustive list of examples of non-constructive posts. As a rule, non-constructive posting is not permitted:

    Spam - this is considered to be repetitive posting of the same topic or text or nonsensical posts that have no substance and are often designed to annoy other forum users.

    Bumping posts in order to keep them near the top of the list is also prohibited. Likewise, the use of "/signed" posts are discouraged in that it doesn’t engender constructive discussion.

    Do not create threads/posts to “petition” or “lobby” for game features, additions, changes, or other issues.     A rant is a post which is long-winded, redundant and filled with angry, non-constructive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and helpful in the development of the game, but rants are disruptive and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise, clear manner and avoid going off on rambling tangents.

    False obituary threads are considered highly improper, and knowingly posting false news of a player’s real-life death may result in a ban of both your forum account and your game account.

    So far, I'm having a blast with PvP. My only real issue is the notification banner is far too intrusive. It blocks a good portion of the screen. FYI, I'm playing in Chrome Full Screen mode at 1366X768.

    What level do you have to be to PVP? It said I was too low (8 I think)

    I really like How there must be three players on each team to even leave your spawn. I really like the speed boost things given but, you can use shadow dance to cheat and sprint away from the other team

    1) There must be three, per team, to start. If, however, your team drops to below 3 you'll keep going. That got a little frustrating earlier this evening when the opposing teams had 4 or 5 players and mine had 2.

    2) I like using the Shadow Dance sprint, too, but if an enemy gets too close and you use it you'll actually end up going backwards to attack them! So, use it carefully!

    First of all I love it.
    My only suggestion is make the announcements smaller, please. Once a they start rolling in and they keep on they cover up some of the visibility. That's my only suggestion.

    When an unjoined team person leaves you can't see their name because it blends in with walls. And also, I think there's a bug, sometimes it says my char doesn't meet level requirements and sometimes it does. Also, pvp is a unbalanced when you fight someone many levels ahead.

    As others have already stated, the notifications get in the way.

    How does it determine what the level differences are? Like in pl, it's 5 levels +/- the host.

    Has anyone noticed the double kill/death bug? Sometime when two people are attacking same enemy player and (I guess) they both get the final blow in the both get a kill and the other gets a death for each. I have killed and been killed so I think the bug exists. Anyone else?

    It would be great if people in the same level range , like within 3 levels or so would be grouped together, it is no fun playing against people 8 or more levels higher than you.

    Things I'd like to see in order to ensure more balanced matches:

    1) Never more than 1 extra person on an opposing team allowed. I've been in matches where there are only two players on one team (because one dropped out), but five on another. Even 3 vs. 5 is an invitation to get steamrolled... So, if somebody joins a match and there's already 1 player extra on one side, force them to choose the other in order to balance out the teams

    2) Players dropping out... I don't really know how best to handle this - you can't force somebody to switch sides in the middle of a match, after all. Perhaps players who drop out of matches should be penalized in some manner (an energy pool penalty, for example)? Not on the first time, though since we all suffer from crashes at some point or the other, but perhaps after the nth time dropping out of a match within a specified time period the penalty could be introduced?

    I would like to see some sort of reward system. Make it so you acquire points for killing (more for killing flag carriers) and at game end (more for a win), and let you spend those on vanity items exclusive to PVP. Or perhaps add a "Weapon Vanity" slot, and make PVP the way to acquire vanity weapons.

    And a little something to prevent leavers, make is so you don't acquire any points if you leave the game (even for kills) and/or just make a 15min lockout after your 2nd leave, and a 30min lockout for subsequent leaves.

    Level brackets make PVP no fun. It's basically a matter of luck. If one team has only lvl 9s, and another team has only lvl 15s; then who's going to win 100% of the time? The current level brackets actually PROMOTE leaving, since you can tell if there is literally no point of playing. If I get 2-shot by every enemy, then why should I continue playing in that match?

    More number balance. No 2v5s please.

    I'm lvl 16, had a lvl 3 on my team. Whoever thought this was acceptable for pvp should not be allowed to make any decisions regarding pvp ever again.

    Another thing worth mentioning, is that due to how slowly the notifications change, sometimes the notification for your flag being take won't actually appear on the screen until they've already scored. Either take out notifications for player deaths, or make notifications regarding the flag have priority over all other notifications.

    Can we please get rid of the X has killed Y announcements. They lag way too much be useful and actually make things worse because they cover up the chat box which is much more accurate with less lag. The only announcements I need to pop up on my screen are the flag and scoring announcements. Everything else would be fine in the chatbox.

    Also I can rotate my camera around the x axis but it is locked in the y axis. Why is this? I have two degrees of freedom in PvE. I don't like the viewing angle. It's too overhead for my taste especially with the notifications filling up half of my screen. I'm playing on chrome which I hate anyway so this may not be an issue for me when I can finally play on my iPad in a few weeks. The camera angle in SL/PL is fine with me.

    Other than these two issues I'm having a lot of fun with PvP. I love the chaotic 5v5 vs the very formal 1v1 in SL.

    The level range is annoying but I understand needing it now when there are not enough players. Perhaps it could be tightened in the future. Also, why no bloody feeding in PvP? There are random enemies, so they should be a source of health. Also, feeding on each other would be mad cool.

    I like that it doesn't. It makes the HP-Powerups a lot more important to control. And besides, there's enough games where PVP is just a heal-spam stalemate-fest. The lack of heals make is so much more exciting
