Lol, fret not. The difference between "he" and "she" is merely an "s". Hardly something worth fighting over.

You guys shouldn't be calling out scammers like this. Just report them and just move on. I know a few scammers but I wouldn't expose them like this.

    1. Never trade anything that won't fit in the trade window. So...not only more items then will fit but things you *can't* put in a trade window like a name. Or "Give me credits here and I'll give you stuff in PL." or vice versa. Just no.
    2. Double-check before hitting the first confirm button.
    3. Qunituple-check before hitting the last confirm button. Count the zeros in the number of credits. Check the level of the gear you're purchasing. Re-check everything. Now do it twice more.
    4. Phrases to beware of:
    A. "Hurry! I have to get offline!"--usually said during the checking and rechecking process. If he's in that much of a rush, maybe you should cancel the transaction and do it when he has more time. Or maybe he needs to go try and scam someone else.
    B. "Secret method/way/whatever...."--there *are* no secrets. Anything someone's selling as a "secret" can be found on the forum in about 5 seconds with a search. The only "secrets" involve glitches and exploiting them is against the TOS.
    C. Anything involving plat--against TOS. It's not tradable so it's going to involve giving up account info. Not happening.
    D. Any time someone claims something along the lines of "There's only one in the auction and it's X credits"--check the auction; oddly, people have fibbed before. If it's in the auction at a ridiculously high price, be aware that that item might also be your "friendly" seller's.
    5. If you're wanting a particular item, check the auction for a couple days and the Traders section here. Get a feel for what it's selling for. Most people want it *now* and will buy the first one they see. Sellers love that.
One more thing I learned the other day from an incredibly honest seller.

If you're buying a 5-piece set from someone, calculate 4/5 of the full set price for the first four pieces, then the last 1/5 of the price for the last piece. This eliminates the possibility of the typical 'set scam' where the last piece is never given.

Let me explain the lateness of signatures with a page of my homework.

Here are the signs of a scam: "Can I borrow/loan/test out your <insert item>?"

Ways to prevent scams: Check how much money he puts into trade carefully as some tend to quickly put in way less than agreed on, blame lag, and run away. Know the prices also as some may want to trick you in thinking that it is worthless and oh "Can I have that then?" Kind of stuff.
