NEW FORGOTTEN WEAPONS (Twinks Only)

It actually helped balance level 35 pvp somewhat... Staffs actually have significantly more damage (30) than a wand, which is way better than the stupid 10 extra damage with a voodoo staff (comparing damage to voodoo wand.) Birds are actually pretty good at 35 with the new bow... I mean, they can compete. But I have yet to fight any level 35 with the sword.

On the flip side, this is a brilliant move by STS.

It is a KILLER gold sink because it devalues everything else, thus putting more value in gold once again.

Every level from 10-71, considering I've seen a L26 drop and Themiraclebird got a L67 bow.

@Lwmark, Yes & with much better procs. Imagine a L10 bow bear holding a bow that does 200+ damage and has a blind proc.

How is this a killer gold sink?

They drop very fast, and in case some people have forgotten (Booyah, Bad Pun of the Day)...the golden rule of money is supply and demand, and right now we have a very high supply. I've seen 8 drop already in 30 minutes of farming.

Perhaps in the future, these (estimate) thousands of "Forgotten weapons" will be worth enough to be a gold sink, but for now, I can't see them at any value over 100k.
So: In a short summary...

-These weapons devalue themselves as well as other weapons.
-These make armor practically useless, in the levels I'm twinking at (10-20)

You just said it. They devalue EVERYTHING else. It's like pushing a "reset" button on the economy, with these pinks being the new line of weapons.

Essentially I'm saying this:

All of those tens of millions of gold in investments are suddenly worth nothing due to these new pinks which outclass everything else.

I don't see how you can have a gold sink with such massive drop rates.

They have to devalue themselves, otherwise they're just creating another item that practically gives away gold.

Is it really practical to pay 6m per item like we do now?

Look at how much the new WF items have increased in price already.
Not too much.

These have higher drop rates...much higher.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but the people we depend on to make better decisions and updates don't spend nearly enough time if not any time in PvP , making them unaware of how these kinds of things make people furious
