Gear/Stat emphasis

I'm a full INT (for now) mage Lv23 and I'm wondering what my gear emphasis should be on. I have no pinks for my class and don't have the resources to farm bosses my level at a decent rate. I'm wondering what I should be focusing my gear stats towards. I've almost replaced a few pieces of my gear but decided not to because of the mana regen. My mage is going to be support most likely and I've already started my skills in that direction. My heal is capped for my level and my debuffs are likely to be next. Any help, while appreciated, hopefully will come with more than a "get this" or "that". I like to know WHY something is better and not "just because." Makes it easier to help myself in the future and help others I meet along the way. Thanks in advance

Crystalline set for lvl 25 should be good til 35 then get cheap swamp gear til 45 pinks are cheap. Thats my opinion

I'd say use what drops you can until you get to 30 then go for some brainfreeze gear. The frozen nightmare sets are fairly useful up to 45 and the good mana regen will be just what you're looking for.

Thanks a lot. Is there an up-to-date list of pinks that has how to obtain them? There's a nice guide in the beginners section with what seems like all the pinks but doesn't explain where they come from. Farming for gear doesn't bother me but blind farming and praying......>.> lol

Farm crystalline, earthquake and onyx items Which drop at all levels of sandstone caves. You can also farm some fathom crypt pinks such as demon claws which go for 100k. And maybe frozen pinks at frozen map.

I have my all but my helmet to my Brainfreeze set and I'm loving it. I haven't bought ANYTHING in the game other than that set so it didn't really hurt me to do it but it's everything I could've wanted and more.
