I tried it, best bet for gold is platinum. And best bet for the founders is gold...

Your best bet is to take that gold and go buy it from the cs. You may need to save up a bit more, but it would be cheaper.

I'm going to copy my post from another thread here.

Your best bet is to use the CS, and the "Preview on Avatar" function to see if they match the outfit when you see your character in the Store menu >> Founder Pack items. Do note that there are two Founders set (different colour) for each class at each level.

Yeah, warrior gear is Cavalier or Holy Knight, mage is Elementalist and possibly another, and I'm unsure of rogue gear. Forerunner gear is better, though.
