Leaderboards weren't reset. People carried over their kills and such into new season. Doesn't make it very fair for a seasonal board. There's no point in seasons without resets.
I'm pretty sure total kills weren't ever going to be reset. I think what should be reset is the timings for each of the crypt dungeons, hauntlet, etc.
