Preview 8/17/2022 | Release the Kraken + Quality of Life Updates Galore

Happy Wednesday, Legends! If you haven't noticed already, it's been a busy week for the Spacetime developers, who released a whole wave of "Quality of Life" updates over the last week based on things you've suggested here in the forums! Here is a recap of what happened:

Quality of Life Updates

Guilds:
+ Guild Leader transfer now requires checking a small additional checkbox.
+ Guild Leaders can now ban players from joining.
- to add: /guildban add <name>, to remove: /guildban remove <name>
- Invites to characters on accounts of banned characters will not be sent and cannot be accepted.
- Removing a guildban requires using the same name with which it was added.

HUD:
+ Hud potion purchase now has 500 potion option.
+ Hotbars may now be locked individually.

Pets:
+ Stable now shows pet counts by rarity
+ Allow spaces in pet names (spaces do count as a character and pet names have a 13 character limit).

Auction:
+ You can now specify terms to exclude from auction search results by prefixing them with '-'.
- For example, "-sword" would exclude items with sword in the name.

Other:
+ /stats now also shows spirit xp % and ultimate charge rate %.
+ Updated Gold Looted achievement note to specify Gold must come from enemies


Bug Fixes:
+ Fixed various achievements not granting until the next time the player logs in
+ Fixed broken side quest Potions offered by Petrox in Brackenridge.
+ Fixed broken side quest Mines of Nordia offered by Julip in Stronghold.
+ Fixed broken side quests Missing Merchant and A Grim Task offered by Boltag in Windmoore.
+ Fixed Bah'Moth's Spray warmup time not matching the animation
+ Fixed quest journal refreshing unintentionally when clicking on empty space

Achievements

For all you achievement hunters out there, it's time to get back out there for some new achievements!

+ Has Underwater House Environment
+ 1 Pet at Level Cap
+ 5 Pets at Level Cap
+ 10 Pets at Level Cap
+ Married

And, overall achievement titles:
+ 35k APs [The Admired]
+ 40k APs [The Elevated]
+ 45k APs [The Storied]
+ 50k APs [The Idolized]
+ 55k APs [The Worshipped]
+ 60k APs [The Deified]

New Elite Rewards

There are also a nice bundle of updates to the rewards you can get from running Elite content! To start, Cinco released a bonus preview on the new Electrum Elite Runner Chest, which drops from Zodias Elite Zones, or can be crafted from Gold Chests.

Among other exciting things, it contains the new Legenday pet Glokus!

Other new drops include Zodias bosses and minibosses now dropping Jewel Elixirs.Plus, Valley and Festerfang Elites can now drop Gold Elite Runner Chests.

Arcane Equipment + New Fossil Fusion Vanity Set

There was a second bonus preview covering what to expect from the new Level 81 Arcane Gear!

You all shared some GREAT feedback and ideas on the stats and procs, so the original post (linked above) has now been updated in consideration of your feedback. We're excited to hear your thoughts.

As for when and where to get the new Arcanes? You can look forward to a new mini-event next week with your first chance to get your hands on them!

There will be more on it in the next preview, but the gist is: You'll defeat Zodias bosses for a chance to loot the new Massive Locked Kraken Battle Shell crate. Open this crate for a chance to loot the new Level 81 Arcane armor and helmet, and the "Fossil Fusion" vanity set, which looks like this!

Since you brought up the prehistoric stuff it would be interesting if a jurassic themed expansion got released, along with several dinosaur pets, the triceratops skull on the vanity looks pretty good.

Are there any plans on releasing a set of expansion chests for the Zodias Expansion? It's been almost a year since expansion aired and still nothing, these chests could be a good way for those who are not too keen on the gold farming meta as well as a F2P way of obtaining some desirable items such as Arcane/Mythic gear/pet the content could change every certain time and bring along x2 drop rates on "x" rarity, etc.

Can we get a look at arcane weapons designs or details about their procs? The feedback on arcane helm and armor was good ending up on balanced procs for all 3 classes, having a chance at helping develop weapons we will have to use later on will be helpful to make the gameplay smooth.

Is Dragkin Temple event getting a rework on the group runs? For lb focused runs the concept is perfect but for casual random token farming the point of needing 1 of each class is not ideal, last time this led to long waits for the room to fill and restrictions to farming with friends since not everyone has a maxed character of each class to play on in order to complete the team build.

Are the Token Vendors ever going to get a rework? Allow players to buy all kinds of items independently of their character's class, as stated before, not everyone has a maxed character to farm an event but they may have an alt they want to dress on fancy looks or simply like the design on a different class to expose in their houses, same goes for gears from vendors.

I definitely plan to do a preview of the Arcane Weapons like I did with the Armor and Helmet! The thread was very useful and loads of fun (for me, at least). Arcane Weapons for Level 81 are not in a state where we can do this preview but it shouldn't be too long from now. While the Arcane Armor and Helm are dropping next week, we won't be seeing any Arcane 81 Weapons 'til after the Dragkin Temple event. So we'll have a good period of time for feedback and iterations.

There are no plans to "rework" Dragkin Temple for random parties to farm tokens more effectively. If there is a real need to farm tokens without participating in the gauntlet event I would consider adding drops from campaign content and/or token kits that can be purchased. But I really don't think this needs to happen. Open to further discussion though! :-)

Vendor item access is not consistent. It depends on the specific event itself and Class restrictions / absence of restriction is driven by historical event performance and business intelligence. So you'll see some events where we allow you to purchase cross-Class and others where you cannot.

I don't know if they have told you but seriously THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THOSE ACTUAL UPDATES OF "Quality of Life". In truth, these types of updates improve the game a lot and encourage more people to play. We hope to see more of these types of updates soon. I think there are still mission bugs and others to fix.

I only have one question regarding the armor arc 81. WHAT WILL BE ITS ACTIVATION MECHANISM?

"I mean to better explain my question. It would be in comparison to the armor arc ebon 71 that is activated with a defense mechanism. and the arc 76 with an attack mechanism."

Or will it have some kind of different mechanics?

By expansion chests I meant the boxes such as Banded (Dead City), Pirate chests (Kraken Islands), Warchests (Nordr), Puzzleboxes (Shuyal), Dragon chests (Tindirin).

Miss the times where you would actually get excited when looting a chest, now only locks and they worth 5-10k.

When we add someone in ban list could all characters related to same account instantly removed from guild? Is great that alts from same account not possible get an invite after that, but what if an alt is alrd in guild without us knowing its same person?
Also is it possible add a command that shows ban list with igns alrd added?
