Now that the Halloween events started, curious how many people/ how much money was lost from the recycling of old Halloween items..

Il start off...

I've so far calculated a loss of around 50mil, these numbers are based on highest offers I've collected before this event.

I feel ya hunz, haha thankfully I only started after the holiday events. Now I know its not a good idea to rely on special items alone to generate $$ :P

i had 3x50 items. they still have the value. the 50 will be still kinda rare, bcz u need exact lvl 50s for that wich isnt level cap anymore
atm the less rarest are the lvl 20 one...

30-45s rarest atm.
No one farms those and there's a huge gap between that level.

The Halloween event was nerfed - Old Gear, Non-Vanity Trick or Treat Bags, Have to pay platinum to get anything, only a few small quests, one dropping boss, not being able to make games, etc. sorry for my rant.

Agree. Huge disappointment.

I don't even want to calculate losses, because I really do like to keep unique-ish items. I'm more disappointed that there's no sense of timeline in Alterra with this release. I really hope they change names or something, but I'm actually gonna guess it's too late.

I was really looking forward to a new campaign and new items...

I'll probably get over my disappointment eventually, but in the meantime I've got some useless mules w/ holiday items that at one time I was holding and sometimes using on twins, but now... *sigh*

Nam changes aren't hard to do. Remember when they changed the 'Holiday Hack' to the 'Holiday Slash'? It could easily be done. But idk if that would help your value. They could add the word 2010 to the original one or changes the color of the new one...... Or even.... Decrease they new ones stats :P

ANYTHING would be better than keeping the two the same... Been playing for more than a year and what do I have to show for it?.. nothing.. Nothing from the old days.. Everything "old" gets brung back...
In real life there's something called "antique" in a game there's something called "discontinued" in pocket legends.... There's something called... Bad economy, lifeless kill farmers, recycled items, un-co ordinated updates and tons of new people that complain about not getting old items...

If we joined early to get earlier items.. Why should new joiners be able to get them just because they rant about it being unfair? If anything I'd say it's more unfair for us older players that were actually THERE to get the items..

Just my 62mil worth opinion.. Which now is worth nothing.

I couldnt agree with you more hunz, I've lost somewhere in the 10's of millions as well, with Christmas coming up, I don't expect anything much as well. Adding to the loss of Halloween item values in cost and in rarity will be devastating more so.

a nerf is a drastic change; it wasnt nerfed if it was the same exact thing as last year

we still had to purchase a costume with plat, and the quests/ items/ one item dropping boss/ level architecture, all the same as last year. idk what the huge surprise of having to buy a costume to partake in the event is.

I didn't do Halloween last year since I started Halloween night and didn't get any plat until WF came out. So I haven't really lost anything (for Halloween anyways, WF will be a different story).

Honestly though, the Halloween items at any level don't really have very good stats. So there's really nothing that great about collecting them at various off levels. At least with the min level drops, you have the ability to equip them on the widest range of toons. Getting the 'tween levels is basically like farming L53 BS or L58 Nuri. Nobody is really gonna buy it except for the truly diehard collector.

At least with WF, a lot of the scaled items have good stats.

I won't be bitter if/when WF comes out with similar items. I'll probably farm a bit at various levels, not for the gold, but because it's fun! Last year's WF was some of the most fun I've ever had in PL. (Parth, aren't you glad I didn't sell you that L25 Toy Man now?
