If I may add, apart from getting the Beastmaster title when you collect the 36 original pets, you'll also get the following titles:

The Shepherd: for getting the 4 ram types: Deston, Granite, Rocky and Aspen;
Whisker Warrior: for getting the 4 panther types: Kettle, Koko, Abigail and Precious; and
The Wise: for getting the 4 owl types: Horton, Hazel, Barney and Jahooty.
