I just compared myself with someone else in town -- we had the same weapon. IMO, smugglers is better. But I think that since pinks should be dropping after the official release, plat items won't stay superior.

Where did this person get +9 armor from? The Smuggler's LightWave set only gives +2 armor more, and that's most likely due to a typo.

It might be. If I can track him down again to compare I'll get back to you, but for now I think that's safe to assume. 2 and 9 are on opposite ends of my num pad... I guess my mind wandered.
