Ya, youcan use 600 maus tokens to get unbalanced staff first, then craft into balanced. But i dont think that will save you a lot of gold.

IMO, i'd rather buy directly a fully awaken one whether its stats awaken or a Goldloot awaken. Cause you'll spend days farming tokens and some ingredients are needed too, moreover the main thing is you'll spend some millions awakening it for 3 slots if you don't have luck.
