    I wouldn't buy gold with my plat, if I was ganna buy plat to make gold I would buy ankhs, they give a bigger turnover

    We are extremely appreciative of both plat and ftp players. You are both essential to our economy (and livelyhood!). We strive to make the game a great experience for both.

    Plat spenders spend money on the game because they want to be at the top. They max out their toons because they want to farm elite maps with less difficulty and to dominate PvP. If there were no plat-spenders, the company wouldn't have the financial support to keep the servers online.

    Free-to-play players buy the stuff plat-spenders bring into the game (whether from locks or elite). They buy ankhs, luck elixirs, vanities, etc. They also play PvP and are a major source of competition. If there were no F2P players, towns and PvP maps would be deserted.

    Plat-spenders are primarily the supply while F2P are the demand (if you want to speak in terms of mythics/arcanes). You need both to have a successful F2P game.

    Lol, It should be alot more like star legends where you could actually loot badass stuff instead of having to blow alot of gold/credits to just get something you would like to use, in arcane legends, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer i really wish this game was more about farming than who had more gold.GG at your thread because you now just noticed this. Lel

    Candy, I get that you are mad, really. But depreciation of prices was only to be expected towards the end of the season; besides you got all your gear as soon as they came out, so of course they cost exponentially higher than a freaking YEAR LATER. You also got to use them for at least a year!

    IMO, an mmo should have 2 roads to a goal, the Plat way and the FTP way. Game survived long enough with a huge advantage given to the Plat way and now it's in a bit of a depression that's all, something new will come along.

    As a FTP player, do you think it is possible to farm 120M? When elite legendaries are worth hundred k's at max... Yeah, no.

    Plat users pay to escape the grinding... They shouldn't be the only ones to get gear. That's P2W.

    F2P players keep the game afloat. Although there aren't many in the forums, about a third of in game players haven't spent more than 100 USD on the game. Weren't for them, the population would be far smaller, and there'd be no one to gain an advantage over. If everyone's special, nobody is.

    It's not ok when best stuff is 100m+.

    However, it's equally not ok when best stuff is 1-2m.

    This has nothing to do with the end of the season. Prices of pets for example should not be affected in such a drastic manner by the end of a season. Anyway, it is what it is.

    The pendulum swung too far in the other direction.

    My suggestion:
    1. Make those shards valuable with arcane crafting requiring many shards
    2. Remove all old mythic in locked
    3. Keep the loot table fresh in both locked and maps- update gear, pets, vanity more often
    4. Remove the class lix from locked. Replace with larger gold payout
    5. Add old arcane pets to elite map loot table- give everyone a shot at dropping a Sam or singe
    6. Increase gold payout at boss
    7. Stop putting things in boxes. We like to see stuff drop direct like recipe
    8. Improve the items bought with crate coins. Fang? Lunar? Seriously 400 crate tokens = a 9k item????

    The point here is we need better quality items within the game, inside of locked, and more fresh non-recolor stuff. Tone down the rate of shards and fossils dropping, I have complained about this so many times. I'm sorry but arcane should be rare, and unless there are future plans to gobble them up with new equips then it's ridiculous.

    Yeah exactly. Heck Kershal and maul man they held value and slowly depreciated, and everyone was ready to jump on a bully or saw or rifle the transition was smooth. What's happening now is chaos!

    I'm practically giving away the brand new mythic. How does the make any sense?

    F2P players play there part but, DO NOT keep this game a float. STG is a business guys, period. let's look at it in a business sense, if all players were F2P where is the income? How do STG pay there employees? How do they pay for the programming and extensive hours they all put into producing a game? What would be the point? P2W players are what pay the bills and F2P are the bulk that keep the game active. There's a balance that is required to maintain a game like Arcane Legends, like Justg said, there both an important part of the community and uprise of such a game. Although I do agree it is nice to he able to afford gear and such like you want but, plat buyers see the problem like myself I've probably spent on the upwards of 9k or so on plat and the problem is a individual plat buyer see's the harm coming from the economy being at a all time low, where F2P players do not. Okay buyers like myself will not spend 89.99 for 1700 plat and in return you may get a couple mil which now you can farm fairly easy. Therefore add up all those individuals that know this and it adds up to a lot of money. Hence STG starts losing money on Arcane Legends therefore remember like I said it's a business (not saying they do not care about there community) and it there is no profit in it this game will fade away and die. I don't want to see that happen but any Spacetime employees that reads this knows in there mind right now I'm right. So I agree the economy needs to return how it was. It was much better and more balanced before.

    you nabs still going on about this??? sts does 2x teeth to increase the amount of bars raising the price of shard and you are still crying???????? learn when to spend your plat! if you blow it on locks then its your ownfault.

    You missed the point completely. If nobody spends money on this game it will die out. If the loot coming out of crates is not worth much people will not buy plat. If you had a business would you keep working at that business if you were loosing money!??? It's not free of charge to STG to run a game like this. Why is it nobody see's this.

    It's about sts making it better for everyone, both sides. Shard /bar prices are just a fraction of the issue. Like I said, keeping the loot table in both locked and elite zones fresh/new/fun gives us all motivation to spend or farm our hearts out.

    I wish they made this super tough boss for you all and he dropped those old mythic necks. Lol (:

    I agree on keeping things fresh, but you play buyers that say you lose so much money on locks, then boycott them! according to zeus you whales could change the market prices.... just get everyone that pops locks to no longer buy locks... their price goes down, your profit goes up... while you kill f2p that is..

    then learn when to gamble and when to fold... its the simple basics of gambling and economy. if the gamble will pay off, do itm if it wont, then dont.

    Here's the thing, simply put.

    Before Arcane/Mythic Galore:
    - Plat Whales Spent
    - Casual Players Spent

    After Arcane/Mythic Galorei:
    - Just Casual Players Spend


    I hope me, Candy, and Pyro are really not the only ones that see the issue here...

    In my opinion, there are ways to make sure F2P can obtain gold. Together, developers and players just need to find more of these hidden gems. As of now and in the past, the best ways to make gold were: farming arena for fossil, recipe, teeth (tindirin). In reality, this was great! We just need more of these awesome additions to the game. That way, if a player like myself (who has never looted a fossil in arena master chests despite countless hours of farming) gets fed up with the lack of fruit in one area, we can always try a different area to farm. Perhaps, putting shard in the loot table and making it farmable as well.

    So, this satisfies the F2P side. Remember, being F2P requires work. In any MMO, F2P usually had to work 2-3 times as hard to achieve the same results as P2P. Right now, F2P really does not have to work all that hard to achieve the same as P2P so the balance is off.

    To return balance, I think developers should do as I suggested for F2P players and then return rengol crates to locked crate of the grand watch odds. Then, bringing the new mythics and placing their crafting components in crates as well as having an F2P way to farm things seems like the logical thing to do.


    Thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

    I see the issue, but none of us can do anything. and the crying and whining wont do a hit of good. only sts can fix this. which obviously they will if the income from this game drops.
