Depends on your budget and maps you want to farm.
I use to farm maus with full nm set and immo staff, using fireball, timeshift, gale and shield, best gear/skills combo based on how i like to play.
For fester maps, mire helm/armor/artifact+venom set is very good for me. I have ebon staff but i dont think is good pve weapon at all as i mentioned in other threads. At deep marsh can use immo/ebon for mobs and switch to ds (lvl46 weapon, sad) and arcane71 ring/amulet at bosses. I only use ebon staff during ursoth battle.
For all other very easy maps i use endless71 set, venom set and ebon staff, but you can choose any combo because maps are very easy : either tainted71, mire pieces or even old lvl66 sets.
Energize ultimate is a must imo.
Last thing, if you dont have a very favorite class maybe you should restart game as rogue, since is the best toon for every single map in game : pvp, at mobs, at bosses, raids, events, timed maps, etc. My old abandoned rogue with 1m worth of gear does much better job at most of maps than my mage with millions in gear.
