Does elite damage apply to bosses in elite maps as well or is elite damage only confined to elite mobs?

Just asking to determine whether or not I re-awake a certain item because, "I'm feeling lucky" and feel like GAMBLING!

I would think elite damage applies to all elite enemies... stacking with boss damage
