Two different things. You'll need the elixir to have the best chance to loot tokens and vanities (and get a chance to loot the auras). If anyone in your party has the elix active the whole party has a chance to spawn the bonus miniboss.

But for example if I don’t have the elix and someone in my pt got it will I be able to loot aura/vanity from boss or I need to open elix also?

You will need the elix for a chance to drop the aura.
