It should be shift, command, 3 for screenshot and shift, command, 4 for a selection of screenshot (cursor will change to a crosshair with numbers).

Command + shift + 3 is what I use. it sends the screenshot to home screen.

What's the PC's command? I've used Macs my entire life, so I'm pretty inexperienced with PCs.

There should be a prntscrn button or something like that. Prtscn.. prtscrn... Print screen. Haha. Then you just paste what your screen shot is into paint or another program similar to that.

    thanks everyone....

on the PC there is a buttom up top called "Prtscn" or somehting like that... just pressing it captures ur entire desktop as is or u can press shift (or Alt, cant remember) + Prtscn to capture the active window... then just paste in any program u wish.

The OS also comes with an app called Grab. You can take a pic of the entire screen, a window, or a selection. It should be in the Applications folder (maybe in subfolder Utilities).
