I dont mean to be blunt or anything, but what's the point of finding low level items?
are people really that willing to buy expensive items on the market when they can just level up and get even better gear?

This low level gear is bought for low level "twinks". A twink is a character (an alternate to the main) that is paused at a certain level (xp disabled) and used for a certain purpose in game. At that paused level, the character is armed/geared with the best gear at that level. This lvl5 pink is the best at lvl5 and is equivalent to lvl10 pinks, therefore worth a lot.
