I think it's likely that this thread could grow to be the largest one. Sometimes vbulletin servers have to close threads that large, hopefully that isn't the case here.

I agree that 51st should win 50th post prize, and all post are now one off. Easy to keep track of right now, or Whirlz can edit the spots that win prizes by one.

That's just way too confusing. Imagine every winning post was a disqualified one, by the end you have to start subtracting by like 9 or 10 to get the right poster, not to mention that if you apply that rule only to the winning post, it should be applied to all posts (since someone could just start spam posting and jack up the post numbers)- which would be a real headache to keep track of. I think the rule should be to disqualify a post thats violated the rules, give prize to the winner who posted next, but keep the count as it is.

The only way that solution would work is if whilz had mod privileges and can soft delete the violations which would then pose a correct post number (and to delete it to begin with requires that TOS be violated).

Yeap. That's why I think it is right you get the prize even though you are post 51. Post numbers don't change but the recipient of a prize can be. An actual winning post that is disqualified just means its forfeited to the next person in line. It's the way I saw it.

He's saying that if one of kingofhurtz posts were deleted then it would all move back one to its proper placing but for now we are all one ahead...which btw can be done by him so let's all ask nicely if he can delete one of his double

Yeap that's what I think should be the correct approach to winning posts that violate the rules. One disqualified post should not affect the entire thread- particularly when it's expected to go into the 1000's of posts.
