Howdy all

Lately ive been running a lot of T2 and ive been working on pulls and strategies, with the help of many many good friends, jazzi thank you for all the patience among others, to run it as fast and safely as possible and of course i try to improve how fast our pt clears the map.

Coming to the point of this thread, im curious what times other tanks managed with their pts, as lb is nothing i can compare myself with, being rogue dominated.

Id be grateful if any other tanks shared their times and perhaps i could also compare pulls and skills used.

Heres a picture of the new personal best time i managed to set earlier today with a great pt of friends.



Special thanks to Root, Saku and Cappa for helping me with this new personal best, the 4.12m time was done with two rogues and one mage, the 4.04m with the three above mentioned rogues.

Im looking forward to improving this time once i can get my hands on one of those arcane swords for the boss.

And today we broke my previous record once again, seems like its becoming a habit >.>

Max passives? Sounds like a plan, no heal just maxed passives and rally cry.

aegis is back indeed :P, if you have learned the pulls from jazzi/azek, then you've learned from the best :P, my tank's best time is around 4.13 (done exactly several minutes before the first aegis nerf, haha), and yes, with the new dragon sword, you will only get your time better!

as for pulls strategy, i'm not a person who is fond of large pulls, every skills in AL has a max target here... so if we pull many enemies, in actual we can only attack few of them, while we need to tank/receive damage from all of them, which i don't like...
it may seems that runs go faster, but it doesn't, because the actual effective dps doesn't change, thanks to target limitation. but aegis made the only exception, thanks to ability to chain proc and no cooldown proc -> more enemies is better

a good pull will always be a strategic pull, to bully/pick weak enemies, while avoiding unnecessary enemies, and safely done, without dying, and exact enemy kills to spawn bosses (our guild have a specialist for this exact kills, the current #2 sorcerer :P, i've learned a lot from him). many will disagree though...

and t2's boss is pain in the ***, i feel a lot more useful when fighting t3 boss last season, because you can't kite t3 boss, while all his hits are 1hko to almost every players, anyway, i use kelvin to bail out dps who love to pierce/get close, to cancel t2 boss' curse attack, but sns' pools make it harder to see redzone :P, you can usually cancel 1 out of every 2 curse, for the other curse, i time my heal to support my own and others who accidentally got cursed, non-charged one is also ok, it will be depends on the afflicted person's potting skills to survive, but yes, with help of warrior's heal, you can survive against curse. i usually insist to attack/spam cs as warrior, even when i'm cursed, normally we can hold it while spamming pots, but if aegis happens to explode, and there are skeletons nearby, i usually die, lol.

as for build, i use standard cs,ss,hor,vb for mobs, and cs,at,hor,vb for boss

anyway, well done again, and congratulations!!!

P.S. what about your build? :P, my pulls should be exactly the same with jazzi's though

4.13 is a nice time indeed, did u do three rogues or mage +2 rogues?
Aegis and sns do make pulling more enemies faster, there are many different pulls but the ones i do with azek are the most effective imo, is that mage u mention imhot? I did my 4.12 time with him, cappa and azek.

Yep i alternate heal and kelvin to keep my dps alive, but with the new arc daggers the boss gets stunned enough that u have time to use kelvin aa again. If that doesnt work two kelvins is good too i find.

My build is 7 skills in t2 xd, i use all except rally cry, although once i have arc sword for boss i might only use 6.
I use windmill ss jugg horn for mobs and at boss if i want a safer run i use axe, cs, vb and heal, with the arc sword ill go axe ss cs and horn.

For mobs we used two sns + two nekros, at boss we used kelvin one maridos one nekro and idk if root used sns or maridos.
As for the pulls if u want just pm me IG and ill run with u a few and show u our pulls. I dont think i could describe very well which pulls i do, showing u by running it seems easier.

well, the record's team combination show how great the classes work between, in mobs and bosses

warrior as mobs buster, and aggro holder with aegis, and boss crowd control with dragon sword's stuns

rogue as 1v1 specialist, killing dangerous mobs, and thanks to dragon blade, they are forced to be more of an attacker rather than a spellcaster

and mage as mass crowd control, and hard boss buster, with dragon staff's percentage based damage which in theory will kill any boss less that 40s if the boss under continuous debuff, mage were useless in most boss fight, thanks to not working cc and half-assed dmg

well done sts, in a system where all classes need to be a damage dealer, this method works magnificent, i hope they will implement these to each classes' skills though

p.s. shared pet stable and maybe a respec scroll from shazbot pls, for expansion preparation, hehe
