I think you're missing the point of mind wrack...
With an elixir, I've hit in the high 300's with a single mind wrack, and that was at lvl 28 without chromaweave or bladetech.
A mind wrack crit attack does HUGE damage.

Sure it's elixired, but it's still a very high hit. I'm assuming this is strictly PVE build because it was made in October, but now with PVP, a maxed mind wrack is essential for that quick KO.
