So is PL... Xmas guns and in Alien Oasis they have a lot of guns too. My personal favorite is the sentinel shotgun
those are different they have a reason for being there, i dont want to be a bunny running around with a m14, if theres a alien map im cool with running around with a space blaster
Based on references from images, im sure there will be "blasters" designed for a game with a young audience but m16's and rocket launchers dont seem to fit in with the genre.

If by guns you mean old rifles and shot guns like in WoW with it's dwarves having shotguns. Then yeah, if your talking 'bout something like a m16 then, it's not meant to be.

IMO if you add too many modern guns like shotguns, machine guns and stuff ( excluding the fantasy-based guns like death shotgun and stuff ) , the game will not be that fun anymoreIt'll be like SL+PL.
I hear there will be sparkly Pwnie guns, made only for Pwnies.
