And no, many expiration dates are just there bc they have to put one on. Many foods out there are so overprocessed that they never really go bad.

Also, the expiration dates mean for best taste/quality. Beyond the expiration date, they are no longer at fault for taste or quality complaints. Honey has an expiration date and honey is the only food on the planet that NEVER expires .
