- What is Health/Mana?
Health
Health is represented by the Green bar located on the top left of your screen. It shows how much Life you have left before your character gets killed. Your health amount depends on: The types of passive skills you use, type of gems, your attribute stats, pets, and your gear. Having more health is highly beneficial. Otherwise, you will risk being killed.
Health can be restored by either clicking the green Health Potion icon located on the bottom of your screen.
Attachment 113480
Mana
Mana is represented by the Blue bar located on the top left of your screen. It is below your health bar. It shows how much "Magic" you have left to cast skills/spells. Skills and spells are located on the bottom right of your screen (its the circles surrounding your normal attack button). Having more mana is highly beneficial because you can cast more spells before having to either wait for your mana to regenerate.
Mana can be restored by either clicking the blue Mana Potion icon located on the bottom of your screen, or waiting for it to regenerate by itself.

- Attribute Points
Attribute points are points that you can add to your base stats (STR, DEX, INT)
STR attribute gives you more health
DEX attribute gives you more critical chance % and more dodge chance %
INT attribute gives you more mana.
Warriors' primary attribute is STR, so they would likely add more points to their STR attribute.
Rogues' primary attribute is DEX, so they would likely add more points to their DEX attribute.
Sorcerers' primary attribute is INT, so they would likely add more points to their INT attribute.
Your damage/bonus damage amount depends on your class.
- Amount of XP To Cap
For each level up, you need a certain number of Experience Points.

- (PvE) Enemy Difficulty
In AL, there is a function called "Enemy Difficulty" (some might also call it "Map Difficulty")
Basically, what it means is that the PvE map's enemies' health/damage/armor scales to the highest level player in the map.
For example, a Lvl 41 joins a game with Lvl25's. Suddenly, the Lvl25 players will notice that the enemies on the map have become more difficult to kill.
- Item Rarity
Item rarity is denoted by the color of the item's name.
Common, Rare, Epic,Legendary, Mythic, Arcane, and Vanity
Common items are the lowest stat gears in AL.
Rare items are better than Common items, but are weaker than Epic items
Epic items have better stats than Rare items, but are weaker than Legendary items
Legendary items are better than
Arcane items are the best in AL. But they are also the most expensive.
Vanity items have no stats and are only used for looks. They are found ONLY under the Vanity Armor and Vanity Helm sections of the CS
- Pets
Pets are considered a player's NPC "friend" who not only gives the player additional bonus stats, but also helps the player fight enemies.
As the pet's level increases, so does the amount of gold a player must feed to keep it happy.
Some things a player should know about pets:
- It is good to have multiple pets, so you could switch between them, when you need to fight certain types of enemies or when a pet is tired
- Pets don't pick up chests or eggs.
- Pet feed equation: level * 25 = price in gold.
- Pets WILL get the benefit of xp elixirs.
- Pets purchased via the Stable will be in Pet form, but never as an egg.
- An unhappy pet will NOT be able to use their arcane ability, will NOT gather dropped loot and will NOT gain experience; you will also lose the happiness bonuses they grant.
- Happiness meter does NOT refill upon level up.
- Pets become unhappy and need to be fed approximately every 15m.
- Click the play button for a happiness boost every 10m, a smiley face symbol is located on the button when it is available.
- Play increases your pet meter ~20% each time.
- It takes ~2h 30m to fill your pet's happiness in stables alone.
- Stats increase as level increases; all pets of the same rarity have the same stats if they are the same level.
- Using arcane ability will NOT deplete your happiness meter any faster.
- Arcane abilities do not change.
- The cool down of each arcane ability can range from 6 seconds up to 40 seconds.
- Most pet gain increases to their passive ability at 5 and/or 10 level increments; this usually includes a new name and/or additions to their passive attack.
For more information relating to Pets, see Gluttony's [Guide] Pet System

- Chests
Chests are like Locked Crates, but are free to open, though have lower chances at looting Mythics or Arcanes than Locked Crates.

- Locked Crates
Attachment 113482
Grand Locked Crates of the Watch are like normal chests, but must be opened with 15 platinum.
When you open one, you will get three rewards. Rewards range from Common items, such as 2000 gold, to Arcane items, such as a Singe Egg.
Reward types:
Common, Rare, Legendary, Mythic, Arcane
- Event Locked Crates
These are like the normal event locked crates, except they have twice the chance at looting an Event mythic item than the normal chests have.
They are usually crafted by obtaining the recipe to craft them, and then are crafted with three (3) normal locked crates.
Event locks usually look something similar to this:

- Gold
Attachment 113483
Gold is the currency that can be traded between players. It's icon is a gold coin located on your character menu.
Gold can be earned by: Doing quests, running maps, earned from liquidating/selling items.

- Platinum
Attachment 113484
Platinum is the currency that can NOT be traded between players. Its icon is a silver coin icon located below your gold amount.
What To Do With Your Platinum
Credits:Ralseph
Platinum can be converted into gold, but gold cannot be converted into platinum.
Platinum is only obtained by either: Buying from the STS/AL Platinum Store, Earned from doing Free-Platinum Offers
Note: Spacetime Studios does not tolerate "Plat Farming" and may ban your account if you attempt it.
- The Consignment Shop
Often times, players might call this the "CS" or "Auction" they both mean the Consignment Shop.
The CS is where people go to buy/sell items.
If you are trying to sell an item,
The CS requires a listing fee which depends on how long you want to sell your item (12hrs/1day/3days) and the price you are selling an item for.
CS listing prices range from 100 gold, to 9M gold.
Select the item you want to sell
Enter a listing price (also known as: the price you want to sell the item for)
Select how long you want to sell an item
Click "Sell"
Note: items that have not been sold/have been sold but the player who listed the item did not take the item/gold will be deleted after 30 days.
If you are trying to buy an item,
Search the item's name in the CS window, and select the icon of the type of item it is. (For example, if I wanted to buy a Lunar Pendant,
I would search it in the search bar, select the type of item it is (for lunar pendants, it is an Amulet) then click "Search"
Next, the search will finish and list the item and the price it costs, as well as the item's stats, and gems crafted onto the amulet.
If I want to buy it, I would click the button called "Buy" at the center bottom of the window. A confirmation window will show up asking if i Really want to buy the item (because once an item is bought, there is no refund (unless you find the seller and the seller agrees to refund you the money in return for the item you bought))
When I click "Confirm", I now have the item in my inventory under "Amulets", and I will have the amount of money the item costed deducted from my gold amount.
- Skills
Attachment 113487
Each character class has a different set of skills.
Skills are like "Secondary Attacks" that your character can use.
These skills range from damaging one enemy to damaging multiple enemies to buffing members to healing party members.

- Quests
Quests can be considered the Storyline in AL.
There are 3 types of quests:
1. Storyline Quests
2. Daily Quests
3. Event Quests
Storyline Quests
These are the quests you can only complete one time per character.
They usually tell the storyline of a campaign/map in AL
Daily Quests
These are quests that you can do only ONCE every 24hours.
Some Daily Quests are related to the AL storyline, while others are completed for tokens/gold.
The Bard's Story Token quests are examples of daily quests.
Event Quests
Event quests can only be completed during events.
Event quests are given by event NPCs
Their rewards range from Event Tokens to items to gold.
For more information about quests, as well as how to complete them, visit Guide: Arcane Legends Quests

The Planar Arena is a map where 4 random Arlor Bosses are spawned in the Map (in a random order) for players (up to 4 people per map) to fight
Radagan has created [Guide] Planar Arena which tells about the bosses, environmental attacks, how to get to the Planar Arena, and more.

- Event System
Events are similar to Campaigns, except they can only be played occasionally (Meaning that they can come and go).
Events have many aspects in common. In this section, I will talk about many of them:
Event Tiers
In many of the AL Events, each event tier can be obtained by reaching an X amount of points.
Points can be earned by killing Event bosses.
There are 3 - 4 Tiers in each event. (reason I say "3-4" is because the 4th is sometimes not in an event)
The tiers are:
0. No Tier
1. Bronze Tier
2. Silver Tier
3. Gold Tier
4. Platinum Tier (Not always applicable)
Bane Items
Bane Items are items (usually bought with Platinum), which can help make Event maps easier. Some examples from past Events include: Orb of Ursume (Tarlok Event 2014), Elondrian Ward (Ursoth Event 2014), etc.
Event Tokens
\
Event Tokens can be obtained in two ways. (1) Buy with Platinum. (2) Obtain through killing Event Bosses.
Each Event has a different type of Token. Tokens can be used to buy event items, such as weapons, vanities, and (sometimes) pets.
Event Portals
Event portals can spawn in a number of ways.
They can be either from Random Spawns during your normal map runs, or from after killing an event boss/mini-boss
Some event portals can be accessed for free via either joining a friend, or clicking on the portal
Other event portals require payment (such as Unicorn Food, Candy Bags, etc.)
How they are set up depends on how STS sets of the event
Event Cooldown
During the Event Cooldown, players are allowed to craft those last minute event craft-ables, spend the rest of their event tokens, and turn in their quests. Event Cooldowns will typically last until a specific given date. After that, only a few things can be crafted outside the event (such as: Event locks using Consume-On-Use recipes)
