I was wondering what the incentive was for beating Elite Onyx multiple times. I know that he drops pinks like other BSM bosses, but does he drop elites like the Elite Red Dragon? Also, does he have a different drop rate than Elite Red Dragon since he can only be reached with the shadow minion costume?

The purpose of the Elite Onyx runs is for one of the elite quests. I believe it's the one that rewards the Eye pet.

Also, according to the Devs, it has a higher drop rate for pinks just like forgotten forest and elite items don't drop there.

check the announcements. Forgotten Forest definitely has a higher drop rate and i think i recall the Devs confirming it for the Elite Onyx as well when responding in a thread somewhere.
