Originally fossils were very expensive (before expansion) and vials were very common, with a very high price there were less buyers thus price crashes. Now there were an excess of fossils, vials kept getting consumed so it gave a chance for vial hoarders to make profits by giving high prices. The current situation is that there are too many nekros around, and less buyers, thus both prices are crashing in time, except that the fossil price are high for some reason.
