Howdy folks, the hits keep rolling. Here is what we have on tap for tomorrow:

New System: Item Awakening

You should be familiar with this new system going in, if not then tap here for the full guide.

New Event: Awakening Kickoff

To fully expose you to the Item Awakening system, we are running an event starting tomorrow.

This is an Energy and Leaderboard Event.

Normal farming will occasionally cause a class-specific portal to appear.



These portals correspond to the six different weapon types:

- Sword and Shield (Warriors)
- Hammers (Warriors)
- Bows (Rogue)
- Daggers (Rogue)
- Wands (Sorcerers)
- Guns (Sorcerers)

You can only enter a portal if you are of appropriate class (ie only Sorcerers can enter Wand and Gun portals)



Once inside, you will face a demon of that particular weapon type.

Please note these are solo instances, so once you are in you will face the demon BY YOURSELF.

On defeat, this demon will drop a hidden power shard of that particular weapon type.

This demon is categorized as a boss, and double boss drop elixirs will work on them.



Collect and craft these into Awakening Gems and Elite Awakening Gems to help you roll and reroll with the new awakening system.

It requires one of each weapon type piece (6 in total) to craft an Awakening Gem. It requires 20 of each (120 total) to craft an Elite Awakening Gem.

This means you will have to trade different types among each other.



This leaderboard will be special, and can be only climbed by crafting Awakening Gems. Awakening Gems give you 1 leaderboard point, Elite Awakening Gems give you 20 leaderboard points.

Leaderboard winners will receive:

• Top 10 (of each class)
o Vanity Banner for Event
o 10 Empowered Reawakening Gems (50 Plat value, Tradeable, Stashable)
o 10 Reawakening Gems (Tradeable, Stashable)
o 100 Ankh Kit

• Top 25 (of each class)
o Vanity Banner for Event
o 5 Empowered Reawakening Gem (25 Plat value, Tradeable, Stashable)
o 5 Reawakening Gems (Tradeable, Stashable)
o 50 Ankh Kit

• Top 100 (of each class)
o Vanity Banner for Event
o 5 Reawakening Gems (Tradeable, Stashable)
o 25 Ankh Kit

wow, will look forward to the event, anyway with the new client, i'd like to add new wishlist:

1. daily quest button from character select screen to spawn players in front of storyteller in traveller's outpost, not in empty windmoore tavern, with this i think go to button from finished daily quest button should also spawn/teleport player to front of the storyteller. tbh the change about this storyteller mechanic doesn't give any good reason, except that it help you teleport near an auction npc.
2. player to able to spawn/teleport to front of klaas/shazbot from character select screen even though they are not ready yet. if daily quest help you to teleport near auction by the recent change, then making klaas to help player teleport easily/quickly to front of a stash npc is also great addition
3. an info about any finished crafting thing from character select screen. just like how klaas, shazbot, and daily quest are timer/alarm based event, i think crafting should also be included.
4. gamepad support for chrome client! so the 360 degree movement won't be wasted
5. shared pet stable.

Will energy ess drop right? And how does portal drops? From mobs or boss or both?
Also would be nice to add event tokens and we can buy something . And another loot from event boss, like locks from each season previous events,

I hope the plat bought Elite awakening gems are nott available during the time of this event, it will make the event less lucrative. If they were it would be great if they weren't tradable, the plat cost for these awakening gems could be reduced after the event too making it feasible for people to use plat on them.

How are Elite awakening and awakening gems different? Except for the way they are obtained?

From what I understand, Elite awakening gems have a better chance to roll the good stuff. Normal ones have an average chance.

I hope the plat bought Elite awakening gems are nott available during the time of this event, it will make the event less lucrative. If they were it would be great if they weren't tradable, the plat cost for these awakening gems could be reduced after the event too making it feasible for people to use plat on them.

How are Elite awakening and awakening gems different? Except for the way they are obtained?

The Awakening Gems and Elite Awakening Gems crafted through the event are bound to the character, they cannot be traded nor stashed

The difference between the Awakening and Elite Awakening Gems are that the Elite Awakening Gems give you greater odds when reawakening a weapon to unlock an additional enhancement slot, as well as when the enhancements are rerolled you have a higher chance to get better stats.

1- I m not lvl 56, I ll be able to join in same portal as them?(since they are same class as me of course)
2- The portal will appear to everybody in gateway?

Does this Demon scale to one's level and can it be farmed by everyone who finds a portal?

Since the portals are class specific, does this mean if a mage run maps solo, he would only get mage portals? Or is it random too? Like a mage may get rogue and warrior portals as well?

You can spawn all three types of portals. Best to run with buds

i actually can care less about this event, but after reading that in this event we can't farm free energy:

let's say that i'm fully using plat based energy kits, to craft elite awakening gem, you'll need a total of 120 essence dropping from the boss, assuming that we can only get 1 essence per 1 boss, in and individual viewpoint, i need to go inside 120 times, get 120 essence, and trade the other 80 essence with another class. so, again, in individual viewpoint, i need to spend 120 energy x 4 plat to get one elite awakening gem. a total cost of 480 plat... probably for the efficiency, i won't run this event at all, since most probably you won't release the elite awakening gem kit for 480 plat a piece, which is equal to a special chance in slot machine, or will you?

edit: owh, so you've released the price for the elite/empowered reawakening gem? it's actually 5 plat per gem? and to farm it you actually need 480 plat? hmmmmmmm

i'm afraid you are being overly paranoid with the last eggstravaganza event, this event is definitely a negative event, just like bloodgrub runs, we'll see how many will participate in this...
