Where exactly does the Vular Ticker Spawn?

EDIT: Found him.

He's located past the security door of the CONSUMER TESTING area which you unlock from the key you get from blowing up the first cache of eggs.

1. Clear a path to the 1st cache of eggs.
2. Clear a path to the explosives past the 1st cache of eggs.
3. Plant the explosives and blow up the eggs.
4. In one of the blown-up eggs, search a corpse for a security key.
5. Backtrack, and use the key on the security door.
6. Walk into the corridor past the security door. There should be a few mobs.
7. Kill them and turn the corner.
8. If you don't see the Vular Ticker, try again.

He looks like like the Vular Mother, only brown (big brown lobster).

He doesn't pop up from a vent. He should be visible.

I'd take a screenshot, but all the apps I've tried get shut down by Android when playing SL.

He's a different color. Consumer testing is your best bet. Do entire run and you just have to get lucky.

I think is just a random spawn, and yeah consumer testing is the best bet. Seen it at multiple places, beside the boss, beside the mini boss, and even at the start of the level. Just luck on if it spawns or not.

it's random, he could be anywhere .

I cleared Consumer Testing about 8 times, and he finally spawned. He's a big brown lobster.

When had the quest, never appeared... when reach 26, I retried and 1st map... boom there lol...

Isn't it in either consumer testing or shipping bays? That quest was so annoying, I gave up at first and only finished it at lvl 26 lol.

That's where I found him also.
But it took about a dozen runs for him to show up.

Just a guess, but I'm thinking the level of the game has a role in determining whether or not he spawns. Like, if you're running in a level 11 or 12 game, he won't appear.

he was evil came in as lvl 11 with lvl 12 party spawned at boss... it was a nightmare killing them both with a party that stayed back i was an engineer and i was tanking him.

then 10 mins later i got the quest!!!!!
havnt found him since.

Ticker spawns in 3 distinct areas in Consumer Testing -


This is the first area where he should spawn.


Second area, with him in sight.


He also spawns right next to the boss.

That bastard. Throughout the course of doing the rest Cycorp quests, and now this one, I must have been through Comsumer Testing at least 2 dozen times and never seen him. Argh!

edit: When going through the level, though, you can see the spots where he spawns. You should see a random status bar sort of just floating in the air from a bit of a distance, and it disappears when you get close to it. You'll see it as you're rounding a corner as described above, and in the spot where the boss spawns.
