I see.. I have never read the bible before, not 1 verse or chapter or whatever. But the way I see it: Nothing will change if religion is here or not. I'm pretty sure religion didn't get us into this technological era, churches still use candles and stained glass We would live the same way as we are now if religion was here or not.
I'd appreciate it if nobody argues with this, because I am not going to care at ALL about what you say. I respect you, but I don't Worship you

Just to keep up the conversation... Did you know in genesis... During the time of creation... Things got more elaborate after each day! So that means women are more elaborate than men! I'm a dude... This offended me at first lol!

If practice makes perfect and perfection is impossible, why practice?
Oh, wait... No need to practice. iHax.

I like the part where men were made in god's image, and women were made in man's image.

True Christian girlfriends are the best. I'm not talking about these progressive baptists, or what have you. But the diehard christians. A woman who knows she was created for man and is completely subservient. God bless Christian women. And remember.. NEVER cut your hair women. That's about as crazy as uncovering your head in church. Only men should have their heads uncovered, since it is the face of god.

    Let's make it SPARKLE!

"This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." -Psalms 118:24

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." -1 Cor 13:4-13

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints." -Ephesians 6:10-18

    My favorites of all time.

    Song of Songs 6:1-11

1 Whither is thy beloved gone,
    O thou fairest among women?
Whither is thy beloved turned aside?
that we may seek him with thee.

2 My beloved is gone down into his garden,
    to the beds of spices,
    to feed in the gardens,
    and to gather lilies.

    3 I am my beloved's,
    and my beloved is mine:
    he feedeth among the lilies.

4 Thou art beautiful, O my love, as Tirzah,
    comely as Jerusalem,
terrible as an army with banners.

5 Turn away thine eyes from me,
    for they have overcome me:
thy hair is as a flock of goats
    that appear from Gil'e-ad:

6 thy teeth are as a flock of sheep
which go up from the washing,
    whereof every one beareth twins,
and there is not one barren among them.

    7 As a piece of a pomegranate
are thy temples within thy locks.

    8 There are threescore queens,
    and fourscore concubines,
    and virgins without number.

    9 My dove, my undefiled is but one;
she is the only one of her mother,
she is the choice one of her that bare her.
    The daughters saw her, and blessed her;
yea, the queens and the concubines,
    and they praised her.

10 Who is she that looketh forth as the morning,
fair as the moon, clear as the sun,
and terrible as an army with banners?

11 I went down into the garden of nuts
to see the fruits of the valley,
and to see whether the vine flourished,
    and the pomegranates budded.

Hmmm... I didn't realize the King James Version had "Charity" in place of "Love" (NIV). Interesting. Anyway - it was mentioned only by reference, and to "stay on target", I'll share my favorite. (No brainer for me)

    1 Corinthians 13
    New International Version (NIV)

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears.

When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

My favorite is the one that specificly prohibits polygamy:
    Matthew 6:24
    New International Version (NIV)
24 “No one can serve two masters."
