Hi runners. So today i woke up and went to the game and saw that all guild members online are busy doing something : Goblin event, elite caves and archon hunting. So i decided to make myself busy as well and went to solo an elite map. So i picked elite jagged trails as my first elite map to solo. Before i went to the map, i made sure to ready kali's guide in front of me. Then i said, OK!! I CAN DO THIS WITH KALI's WISDOM! Then when i am running elite trails already, i didn't even look at kali's walkthrough because i was so busy tailing the mobs and too scared to look away from the screen because i might die. :-)))

I didn't die but had a hard time to figure out where the mobs will reset. So here are the results: 1 luck kit used, ~600 health pots, ~500 mana pots, malison exhausted, ethyl used in some mobs, haze used in boss. I am limited to only 5 pets for now because of the bug.. Ohh and of course, how could i forget the crappy loot. CHEERS!! :-)

You need to be level 41 at least to join Elite Runners. No gear Requirements, No Kdr required, all you need to know is how to run elites and maintain your role in an elite party
If you're level 41, Hit anyone of the officers or Recruiter listed on first page of this thread.
They'll ask you to do a test run with you. Depending on your class, it will be tindrin or shuyal elite. If everything goes well in that test run, you'll be recruited. :)

We do the stat check prior to runs, some members surprised us some didn't... We require paragon title as well, Ish, it's not that hard in season 6.
We do not ask for mythic gear, although it's really cheap now, but legendary 41 should do the work in most cases. What's more important is type of skills, not every spec is good for elite, as you know, so players who cannot respec accordingly will be looking for another guild. We hardly do any exceptions lately.

We've never had an AP requirement. I have no idea where that came from. APs is usually a concern of guild trying for top rank on the LB. Last I checked, the guild's goal was to run elite, enjoy elites, and train others in elite strategies.

Stats is just an easy glance over way of making sure it isn't a waste of time to take someone on a recruitment run. Of those I've rejected, I only remember the tank with 1200 armor and 5k-ish HP. This was simply unacceptable when rogues are running around with similar armor stats.

I don't remember there being the paragon requirement during Nordr and that seems odd since the max APs was near 12k. Are you sure this wasn't end of Shuyal when I was MIA?

I didn't mean that Paragon title is a must, but it's a nice addition and shows that member had worked hard for his toon.
And last time I checked we were on lb, but it was never a goal of course, cause the main reason for our guild Is running elites and enjoy it.
Crow , I'm not used to type that much, and somehow I always manage to make a paragraph in reply for you.... (and I eraised half) hehe ;-)
Best way is just to pm in game any officer, it's hard to judge in forums :-P

The stat inspection isn't hard.

-Are you wearing something besides cheap (wintermancer, hellish, etc) lvl36 gear? Probably a no then.
-Do you have average, or near average stats based on our pier polls? If so, you are welcome to run.
-people get in with under 500k in gear (even under 300k in gear) all the time. We just don't want to take you on a test run if you will be one hit by every mob or dealing less damage than the tank (some exceptions here since some tank's have higher than expected damage).

Easiest way to find out if you are ready is to ask. ​It never hurts to ask.

@most tanks (especially those PMing me in game and in the forums). NO!!! You don't need gear as expensive as mine to join. It is far above average to have 2402 armor and is not expected. You can also die in runs, being deathless (although impressive) is not required. However, you die 5 times in a Wilds run before the boss when we are doing smaller than average pulls, you will be rejected. I don't think it is that much to say you die no more than 3 times ipbefore the boss on wilds.

Deaths aside, the number one thing that will get you I to ER is having potential and display of skill. Without saying names, there are two players in the guild who were discussed as being below expected skill. Both were let in do to their attitude, ability to use feedback practically, and an openness to learn. Happily, both are good players and I would run with either without worry. Everyone starts out rough.

Attitude is an issue we take into account during a recruitment run. If we (officers) give you advice and you say "yeah I know" or, worse, don't repond I will watch carefully. If you continue to make the mistake pointed out, this doesn't look well for you. We are giving you advice because we want as many elite skilled players as possible and you could be one. If you don't want to learn don't join. I consider myself a veteran player and I still learn something new weekly, whether it is a new set if pulls or a better way if timing my skills to aid party survival, we can always improve our skill.

Skill is a staple praising in ER. You will notice that although some officer have expensive gear, many aren't top geared. All, however, are very adept player. I have done all officer runs (before you flip, queen, no one else was on) faster than runs with 4 Samael's and players using arcane rings.

You don't need to be a blue blood to join. The first step is asking.

I will also say that knowing how to manage your role in the party is the most important duty! I have been on recruit runs with Sorcerers in PvP spec that used heal, shield and gale completely ineffectively, Tanks sporting less armor than my Rogue and dying on every pull and Rogues in an odd-ball STR spec that did about the same damage as our tank wearing a Pavise.

Rogues: You are around to kill things quickly. Minimize your repositioning, because all that does is shed aggro from the tank as you draw the attention of every mob in a pull.

Kill prioritization is important for the Rogue class - determine which mob is the greatest threat (either based on damage inflicted, or proc [like the snaggletooth AoE freeze, shaman stomp attacks, archers and their high DPS, etc.]), and kill the highest threats first. The spearmen are generally your last priority because the tanks can easily handle the limited damage that they dole out. Rogues should focus on killing one or two mobs at a time - a shotgun/scatter attack approach just makes it more difficult for the tank/sorc to control the mobs and doesn't make the run any faster. Focus all of your attacks on one mob to take them down quickly, and move on to the next target. Finally, keep your crit stack up! Crit kills - so, if you're busy repositioning or avoiding mobs, your crit stack is falling off, and that is a detriment to your party.

Veil - Rogues should be dropping smoke in the mob cluster to assist the tank with the buff/debuff. Don't place veil for yourself only, be mindful that this is a powerful party buff and mob debuff - it is better to place yourself in danger momentarily to buff all members of your party (while debuffing mobs) than it is to buff a single rogue dancing around the periphery. If there is a second veil rogue in your party, rotate smoke placement. Two veils popping up at the same time doesn't stack, so wait until the other rogue's smoke disappears, then pop veil.

Traps - Position the traps intelligently! Don't drop traps near other squishies (rogues/sorcs) because if they pull, you are effectively drawing mobs away from your tank and dropping them into the lap of the party members that cannot control a large group. Drop your traps in corners or choke points near your tank - you will make your tanks job easier and if done correctly and with coordination of your sorcs, is a perfect moment to drop clocks and smoke to root and debuff a large group.

Sorcerers: You are around for crowd control. Your job is to root, freeze and knock down mobs. Yes, I know your class has the highest damage and best DoT in game, but damage and kills are a secondary role for you.

Clock - Use this skill wisely and place it correctly. A clock that drops on one mob isn't helpful. A clock that drops on a huge pack is tremendously helpful! Clocks can also be used as a barrier to give your party a few extra seconds to clean up a previous pull before they have to engage the next group. Do not be afraid to run close to your tank to drop the clock. If the tank is doing his/her job correctly, they are controlling aggro, so the second or two it takes you to place the clock correctly won't be putting you in much danger. Finally, clock is a great skill to use to put up a wall behind you when making a run to the boss - especially for those fast mobs in Tindirin.

Ice - This is the best single target crowd control skill there is. In Tindirin especially, it is important to make sure the Shamans are frozen while your Rogues take them out. I have seen a single stomp from a Shaman wipe the party more than once, so be aware of single target mob control. Similar to Rogues, determine which mobs require the most control and handle that for your party. It is difficult for Rogues to kill quickly when they are getting their faces stomped into the ground by uncontrolled shamans.

Fire - Fire is a great skill that can give your party a two second reprieve. If you see your tank getting overwhelmed by a pull, a fireball can give the tank a moment to pot up, or let HoR cool down. Same goes for those "oops" moments when an arrow/pierce/lightning bolt/etc., goes the wrong way and you pull a group you didn't intend to aggro. A fireball will knock down the group, giving your party a moment to decide whether to have your tank combine the pulls and control aggro, or reset the group.

Warriors: HP and Armor! You are there to manage aggro and make sure the entire party stays alive. Use your skills (other than Jug) for the benefit of your team. Your job is to always be the last person standing, and to make sure that all mobs want to attack YOU! Make sure you have taunt upgrades on your skills - without taunts, you will not be able to do your job effectively. Keep your party alive and the mobs focused on you and the runs will be smooth.

Horn - It heals, it shields and it can save both you and your party unnecessary deaths. Use this skill appropriately and save it for the right moment. Pot through general damage and save HoR for windup attacks or when you notice party members in trouble. If you see your Sorc/Rogue coming into the group for clock/smoke placement, ensure they stay alive by shielding them with HoR. HoR is most important for boss encounters! A good example of HoR usage is against Algaran. Use HoR if George/Kelvin has their AA on cooldown. This will protect everyone that was pulled from death. Also, with the correct upgrades, HoR taunts. If you notice you are losing control of a mob cluster, HoR will bring them right back to you, so use this skill wisely!

Windmill - This skill is one of the best taunt skills you have. Any mob hit by WM will instantly turn to you. If you see a mob or three breaking out of your control to attack a squishy, move towards those breaking away and tap WM to bring them under your control again. It is worth the skill points to invest in the increased range and extended duration. This helps tremendously with aggro management. Also, while doing a run to boss, use this skill. There is nothing worse for a squishy than being ALMOST at the boss, then getting killed with no way to return to your party.


If every party member masters their role, elite runs with be smooth and easy. If any one member fails in his role, then the run could be a real struggle. So, for those looking to join Elite Runners, be aware that this is what we are looking for.

I have been on recruit runs with Sorcerers in PvP spec that used heal, shield and gale completely ineffectively, Tanks sporting less armor than my Rogue and dying on every pull and Rogues in an odd-ball STR spec that did about the same damage as our tank wearing a Pavise.

Rogues: You are around to kill things quickly. Minimize your repositioning, because all that does is shed aggro from the tank as you draw the attention of every mob in a pull.

Kill prioritization is important for the Rogue class - determine which mob is the greatest threat (either based on damage inflicted, or proc [like the snaggletooth AoE freeze, shaman stomp attacks, archers and their high DPS, etc.]), and kill the highest threats first. The spearmen are generally your last priority because the tanks can easily handle the limited damage that they dole out. Rogues should focus on killing one or two mobs at a time - a shotgun/scatter attack approach just makes it more difficult for the tank/sorc to control the mobs and doesn't make the run any faster. Focus all of your attacks on one mob to take them down quickly, and move on to the next target. Finally, keep your crit stack up! Crit kills - so, if you're busy repositioning or avoiding mobs, your crit stack is falling off, and that is a detriment to your party.

Veil - Rogues should be dropping smoke in the mob cluster to assist the tank with the buff/debuff. Don't place veil for yourself only, be mindful that this is a powerful party buff and mob debuff - it is better to place yourself in danger momentarily to buff all members of your party (while debuffing mobs) than it is to buff a single rogue dancing around the periphery. If there is a second veil rogue in your party, rotate smoke placement. Two veils popping up at the same time doesn't stack, so wait until the other rogue's smoke disappears, then pop veil.

Traps - Position the traps intelligently! Don't drop traps near other squishies (rogues/sorcs) because if they pull, you are effectively drawing mobs away from your tank and dropping them into the lap of the party members that cannot control a large group. Drop your traps in corners or choke points near your tank - you will make your tanks job easier and if done correctly and with coordination of your sorcs, is a perfect moment to drop clocks and smoke to root and debuff a large group.

Sorcerers: You are around for crowd control. Your job is to root, freeze and knock down mobs. Yes, I know your class has the highest damage and best DoT in game, but damage and kills are a secondary role for you.

Clock - Use this skill wisely and place it correctly. A clock that drops on one mob isn't helpful. A clock that drops on a huge pack is tremendously helpful! Clocks can also be used as a barrier to give your party a few extra seconds to clean up a previous pull before they have to engage the next group. Do not be afraid to run close to your tank to drop the clock. If the tank is doing his/her job correctly, they are controlling aggro, so the second or two it takes you to place the clock correctly won't be putting you in much danger. Finally, clock is a great skill to use to put up a wall behind you when making a run to the boss - especially for those fast mobs in Tindirin.

Ice - This is the best single target crowd control skill there is. In Tindirin especially, it is important to make sure the Shamans are frozen while your Rogues take them out. I have seen a single stomp from a Shaman wipe the party more than once, so be aware of single target mob control. Similar to Rogues, determine which mobs require the most control and handle that for your party. It is difficult for Rogues to kill quickly when they are getting their faces stomped into the ground by uncontrolled shamans.

Fire - Fire is a great skill that can give your party a two second reprieve. If you see your tank getting overwhelmed by a pull, a fireball can give the tank a moment to pot up, or let HoR cool down. Same goes for those "oops" moments when an arrow/pierce/lightning bolt/etc., goes the wrong way and you pull a group you didn't intend to aggro. A fireball will knock down the group, giving your party a moment to decide whether to have your tank combine the pulls and control aggro, or reset the group.

Warriors: HP and Armor! You are there to manage aggro and make sure the entire party stays alive. Use your skills (other than Jug) for the benefit of your team. Your job is to always be the last person standing, and to make sure that all mobs want to attack YOU! Make sure you have taunt upgrades on your skills - without taunts, you will not be able to do your job effectively. Keep your party alive and the mobs focused on you and the runs will be smooth.

Horn - It heals, it shields and it can save both you and your party unnecessary deaths. Use this skill appropriately and save it for the right moment. Pot through general damage and save HoR for windup attacks or when you notice party members in trouble. If you see your Sorc/Rogue coming into the group for clock/smoke placement, ensure they stay alive by shielding them with HoR. HoR is most important for boss encounters! A good example of HoR usage is against Algaran. Use HoR if George/Kelvin has their AA on cooldown. This will protect everyone that was pulled from death. Also, with the correct upgrades, HoR taunts. If you notice you are losing control of a mob cluster, HoR will bring them right back to you, so use this skill wisely!

Windmill - This skill is one of the best taunt skills you have. Any mob hit by WM will instantly turn to you. If you see a mob or three breaking out of your control to attack a squishy, move towards those breaking away and tap WM to bring them under your control again. It is worth the skill points to invest in the increased range and extended duration. This helps tremendously with aggro management. Also, while doing a run to boss, use this skill. There is nothing worse for a squishy than being ALMOST at the boss, then getting killed with no way to return to your party.


If every party member masters their role, elite runs with be smooth and easy. If any one member fails in his role, then the run could be a real struggle. So, for those looking to join Elite Runners, be aware that this is what we are looking for.

Crow and I had some tips (AKA Rant) earlier in this thread on what I personally look for in a recruitment run. Perhaps we should update the OP to include it:


The stat inspection isn't hard.

-Are you wearing something besides cheap (wintermancer, hellish, etc) lvl36 gear? Probably a no then.
-Do you have average, or near average stats based on our pier polls? If so, you are welcome to run.
-people get in with under 500k in gear (even under 300k in gear) all the time. We just don't want to take you on a test run if you will be one hit by every mob or dealing less damage than the tank (some exceptions here since some tank's have higher than expected damage).

Easiest way to find out if you are ready is to ask. ​It never hurts to ask.

@most tanks (especially those PMing me in game and in the forums). NO!!! You don't need gear as expensive as mine to join. It is far above average to have 2402 armor and is not expected. You can also die in runs, being deathless (although impressive) is not required. However, you die 5 times in a Wilds run before the boss when we are doing smaller than average pulls, you will be rejected. I don't think it is that much to say you die no more than 3 times ipbefore the boss on wilds.

Deaths aside, the number one thing that will get you I to ER is having potential and display of skill. Without saying names, there are two players in the guild who were discussed as being below expected skill. Both were let in do to their attitude, ability to use feedback practically, and an openness to learn. Happily, both are good players and I would run with either without worry. Everyone starts out rough.

Attitude is an issue we take into account during a recruitment run. If we (officers) give you advice and you say "yeah I know" or, worse, don't repond I will watch carefully. If you continue to make the mistake pointed out, this doesn't look well for you. We are giving you advice because we want as many elite skilled players as possible and you could be one. If you don't want to learn don't join. I consider myself a veteran player and I still learn something new weekly, whether it is a new set if pulls or a better way if timing my skills to aid party survival, we can always improve our skill.

Skill is a staple praising in ER. You will notice that although some officer have expensive gear, many aren't top geared. All, however, are very adept player. I have done all officer runs (before you flip, queen, no one else was on) faster than runs with 4 Samael's and players using arcane rings.

You don't need to be a blue blood to join. The first step is asking.

I read that too much armor is no good since it raises the attack of enemys, so I got damage gear stuff. Got 2256 armor, and 6.0k (without pet) health, will be ~ 6.6k when I perfect gems. Is jug really that good?

Jug is good, the armor scale thing has never been confirmed by any mod/dev and only serancha experienced this other people didn't.

I read that too much armor is no good since it raises the attack of enemys, so I got damage gear stuff. Got 2256 armor, and 6.0k (without pet) health, will be ~ 6.6k when I perfect gems. Is jug really that good?
No armour scaling mobs, its not TRUE. Was just a mistake by the thread poster. No one could agree with it and neither devs confirmed it. So yes get as much armour and hp u can.
Yes juggernaut is one of the best skill for elite.

These days there is nothing much to do in game, so many of the people are concentrating on real life atm. When there's stuff we all are back into action.
Try adding oldboyy,starkinea,ebaveuzibez,singhamm and queenotshade or ubersinner. There the most active officers/gm atm. Usually people are active at 4:00pm Gmt to 2amGmt.

Gyrm is a new pet alri. Its stats are like colton(exchange 30 int with 30 prim stats) and has a crit AA. Was a loot from major payne boss during goblin event.

we have few recruiters atm, so most of the time only officers recruite.
Be sure to add those to ur friend list, and pm them when we are online

I will also say that it is helpful to introduce yourself first.

PM one of the Officers or Recruiters. Tell them that you posted on the guild forum thread and that you would like to join. I literally get dozens of "Need Guild" PM's every day, and about 50 unsolicited friend requests (with no PM's I might add) which needless to say, goes completely ignored.

Elite Runners does not stand around asking if anyone needs a guild - we inspect prospective candidates, we take them through several elite runs, assess their builds and skill rotations, determine if they are proficient at managing their role in a party and we give suggestions on areas where improvement can be made. We invest in each and every recruit, so these things take time. Be prepared to set aside about 30 minutes of time for consideration.

If you are looking for a guild that accepts anyone because you said "Need Guild" to a member, please understand that this is not the way we operate. I have burned through hundreds and hundreds of plat on recruitment runs in the past six months, and I give a way a lot of gear to those that seem to have some promise, but are simply undergeared.

Please, be patient, be persistent and be mature. I try to be online as much as I can, but I am also juggling a job, a family, little league coaching and a dozen other things that real life demands.

I know it might feel frustrating to join Elite Runners because is hard to get the recruitment run, but believe me guys is all worthed. I chassed for a few days till I was able to get a recruitment run.... and Im not sorry. I was looking for a guild that runs elites... and guees what I found it.

Beside the runs the members of the guild are really amazing and helpfull from officers to members and gm of course :D

I think the part that I like is that for runs they make parties to run with whomever wants to run, is more like first come first served ;) doesnt matter if your the most badass player or just at the beggining of your journey in running elites... they will teach you everything there is to know, where to run, what to farm, easyest and best way to run the maps, all you have to do is to be willing to learn.

So if running elites is what you want dont get discouraged because you werent able to join today, just be pacient and is gonna happen.

Just like my guildies said most r working and we have few recruiters ATM. If u really wanna join I'd say don't give up on contacting recruiters. And when u said that most r just ignoring you, well its possible that they're afk or in the middle of a run. You can always check the thread to see all the list of recruiters so that you can still send a msg in case the others aren't available.

I'm still new in here and been in this guild for only 3 weeks now, but I can say I really like the ambiance in elite runners. the officers, recruiters and members are always there ready to join and lend a helping hand whenever possible :-)

i´m lev 41 sorc with good nonmythic gear, wanna rock in Elite, normal playing is not interesting for me. Only help others to cap the level or normal farming is frustrating. I have to say that i don´t have played elite in partys yet, only for myself BR + some others, but alone its not the best decision.;-) Needs time...
So i hope to find others, who give an "Elitenoob" some knowledge and new fun for this game.;-) Would be nice to make an recruit run.

Unfortunately we have some serious lag issues in elite, especially in full parties, so we cannot run elites properly at this time. I hope you patient enough to wait, while sts we fixing this annoying problem [emoji19]
You can pm and an officer or recruiter add them to your friend list, and when this issue will end we will gladly run an elite with you
