Look at the difference between my two ghost versions though.

I find the one on the right to be a normal unoffensive halloween costume style ghost - had the image looked something like that these comments would never have arisen (especially when the image was made by a pro designer rather than my amateur editing which looks like I did it with a crayon XD).

Jeez, Dalmonys version is cuter and much like a ghost. Good job painting that. No offense graphic designer from sts, but the one on the right is a better ghost. I think it's prob too late to change a design like that last minute. Just get rid of the horns and I think it'll be ok. Chains are a nice touch though.

IMO I was hoping they make parcurelus the alchemist's (gah forgot how its spelt...) robes the vanity (excluding that arrow in his chest) ..cuz lets be honest....we all want that epic purple founder with that awesome dark purple flame effect on his hand.

I honestly wouldn't mind it in another color either, like black.

Another idea I had in mind was a vanity when worn makes a mage translucent (if transparent they'd be pretty much invisible -.-) think of it as a naked Mage that's just translucent (like those ghosts, on that map in kraken, that I haven't visited in so long)

A completey red Mage with a mustache and horns (sort of like a mini demon)

But smart move bringing up the blanket ghost since I don't think many people will work to the extreme to get it therefore meaning it will be a fun and relaxed competition. (For mages that is)

I was just putting my 2 cents in from a previous post yous complain to much mythics being scaled up lb prizes etc etc all being done for end gamers and yous complain non stop about it this whole thread is complaints so i made my complaint from a twinks perspective since endgamers cry and get there way and twinks again get next to nothing but i will give sts credit for this event a decent amount is available for us for once so good job there

Second of all - endgame is the most played lvl..
we twinks - just made lower level pvp toons because we propably cant afford endgame. (not talking about the ones that got bored from endgame)

Game is meant to be the way that you level up.. AND NOT SIT IN LOWER LEVEL PVP KILLING NEWBIES ( i mainly play at 26 and there are not much newbies) so that's why they make most of the stuff for endgamers.

I'm not forgetting anything, and was born and live in one of the most culturally and racially diverse cities in the world. I administrate multiple wordwide forums as part of my job, and have for the last 15 years, meaning I am not ignorant to beliefs, customs and tradtions.

A sheet ghost has been a cultural tradition worldwide wherever halloween is celebrated, for centuries, no matter what race, color or ethnicity. It was part of almost everyones childhood, and I find it sad that the costumes we wore as children are now being deemed offensive.

STS has announced they are working on the outfit, and it does not yet have it's graphic effects and final tweaks done. People have been requesting this vanity for the past 3 years, they listened to the customers, did what was asked of them and people rage anyways. The way STS works with particle effects, I doubt the static image is even close to the end effect it will have, which will assuredly be much more ghost-like.

FYI I'm a winner on a contest I can already get that vanity when the event starts(if I choose to, which I will not). We are not creating drama here, because like you we are also excited for the event. We are simply pointing out that it is offensive so that the devs would know. Its up to them if they will continue with it or change it. We could bear with it since we love this game. :)

Ikr but i am too tired to carry on a logic explanation of how this event is a step forward into a FTP direction. Its not perfect ok, but Rome wasnt built in a day.
I totally understand what u r saying :) I was jus pointing out that tarlok event was way more fun for the majority of the player and was a HUGE step forwad for the f2p player as well as the paying ones. These events being sort of a step backward from that. That event got everybody working together on an actual quest. Was loads of fun for everybody.

I wasnt trying to argue with u persay, but imo they have ideas that they implemented before that are much better than the current event system that is being implemented.

Lolwut when did we get 10 new rings? Arcane is lol 130m archon is weak and
mythic is lvl 31, whats the other 7? Elon event gave elon pendants (not even better than lunar but op for twink) elon rings are also for twink, ancient armor is not anywhere near mythic armor which is 18 months old but is a worthwhile trade in vs tarlok for twinks, nobody uses arena gear so what do we get? Fair enough we have new mythic weapons every once in a while that cost 10m+ but imho most new stuff in the last year has been useful for nobody but twinks. I twink myself and there are a wide variety of viable weapons available (ss, cap axe, cap staff, depraved, abyssal, dev bow, dev maul, exp rifle, firesquid, umbral shot, hooks, shipmasters and some more i definitely missed) feel free to come to endgame pvp and try to even get one kill without the latest mythic weapon or a maul/glaive.

Like in Ursoth's event, the top 50 players for each class will receive a radical looking rotating Jack o' Lantern vanity banner (Top Left). Then the top 25 rogues will also receive the Medusa Vanity Costume (Top Right), complete with wriggling and slithering snakes on top of her head. Top 25 warriors get the Frankenstein Vanity Costume (Bottom Left), with sparks of electricity all around his big 'ol bolts. And, last but not least, the Top 25 sorcerers get their very own Ghost Costume Vanity. Spooooky!

Last week, Samhayne revealed some of the fancy new vanities that you'll be able to get in the new event, including a sweet new minotaur set for warriors, a jack o' lantern get-up for rogues and a gargoyle set for sorcerers. Tiered Rewards

Remiem made an Insider's Post on Tuesday revealing the new rewards for moving up through the different event tiers. Like our last couple of events, playing the seasonal content will earn you points so that you can progress through 4 different tiers of gameplay: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and the new Platinum tier. Moving up in the tiers isn't always easy, so we make sure that getting to each one is worth your while. Here are the prizes for reaching each of the Halloween event tiers:

For reaching bronze, you'll receive 3 Lesser Pumpkin Chests. You can open these chests to find energy kits (to access the boss zones), gold, Necropolis Tokens to redeem at the token vendor, or pieces of a spooky legendary gear set. If you hold on to them, you can also craft them into Greater Pumpkin Chests which have the chance for even better rewards.

At the Silver tier, you'll receive a Legendary Haunted Ring, set to your level, and a flaming pumpkin vanity helm that will definitely get some screams.

So i have a theory , the rogue in the video is using the mythic bow in Pve , so if the bow is better than the daggers in Pve , hence that the daggers are supposed to be Pve based , the bow would still beat the daggers , unless at the time that video was made, the daggers were not completely designed yet .

Sighs ... miss the pure carefree fun of seasons 1 thru 4 (gosh those were good times) and Tarlok was the most enjoyable of the events because it was open to all players to participate with no stifling energy kits limiting the fun of the actual event. Yes, they have to make money off this game but it would be nice if it were spent on better content for events which actually promoted community fun & togetherness instead of forcing us all to brace ourselves for the (all to familiar now) gold depleting monotonous runs to defeat the same 4 bosses over and over and over and over.... and over again!

How about a new level cap after ... what is it ... 7 months now? Meh! That will probably be thrown at us as soon as players have emptied their gold reservoirs (if you have any left after that last event) on revamped Halloween gear, vanities and energy kits. When this upcoming Halloween event was annouced as being 'Huge' I guess I was expecting to look forward to something truly spectacular. Instead, we shall receive items and vanities that have been recolored ... yay!

On a positive note, being able to buy the mythic pet with tokens is very rewarding and much more convenient for all those players who have not yet been able to afford a mythic pet thus far although the amount of gold spent on all the runs to obtain the 1100 tokens needed for the pet will still result in owning mythic at an exorbitant price. Ofc, this will depend on the amount of tokens received per run but I am just guessing here.

I don't know but....honestly this my fifth mmorpg and all the events i have played throughout: Cabal, Metin2, Runescape, Wow, 4story had a sort of monotony in them. Even normal games are repititive except games for playstations and xbox ecc those that have a story line that starts from pointA> pointZ.

The only way i see to break this monotone cycle in a event is transforming the event in a 1 week quest that starts from point A -> Z but that will require lots of time and resources to create. :)

Not a bad idea but I believe we did have an extended quest throughout an event before which involved completing the same bunch of quests each day (another repetitive cycle) in order to obtain an Event banner after the last designated day had been completed and all quests turned in but I cannot recall if it was last Halloween or last Christmas...maybe both (not sure).

And, Ughhhhh to fashion repeating itself but I guess that's how its been throughout history of the world, let alone a game! Style always comes back around to bite us in the rear.

Players are the ones that requested the last year vanities to come back. If they came back identical to last year's merchers will rage, so they got recoloured.
I am 100% sure you can get grimm farming kits and using your free energy balls so this is practically a free Grimm for everyone. Even the poor dude that started yesterday can have a chance at a mythic pet right away (the servers will overheat).

I don't know but....honestly this my fifth mmorpg and all the events i have played throughout: Cabal, Metin2, Runescape, Wow, 4story had a sort of monotony in them. Even normal games are repititive except games for playstations and xbox ecc those that have a story line that starts from pointA> pointZ.

The only way i see to break this monotone cycle in a event is transforming the event in a 1 week quest that starts from point A -> Z but that will require lots of time and resources to create. :)
I to have tried multiple mmorpgs and I have played metin2 before transfer when I lost my 65 account ): 4story I got banned last chaos and more. They all have events for special Holliday's like Halloween Christmas valentines and I have played wow to my brother has over 10 lvl 95 and was the top rated death knight in PvP. Aniders. So yes it may crash the market for a while for Grimm but this happens normally in all games. Stuff needs to come back sometimes adventually to let the new players have a chance at these old items like let's say steel spy armor for rogue or steel commando vanity. This is a good event for new players if you don't like it you don't have to play it [emoji6]

imo, event will start monday or tuesday of next week. it would be crazy to start on day of halloween b/c that's a busy day for most people and if something goes wrong it'll be wrong for the weekend. if they start after halloween, that's a joke. i think the forum updates (producer's letter, etc..) actually hurt their credibility. They have a tough time delivering on certain content and they definitely have a tough time with making dates. Who knows when the next expansion of levels will take place, if at all?
So, i wouldn't be surprised (as stated by a previous poster candylicks) if tombs were pushed back until after the winter event. There is not a lot of time between when this event goes live and when they need to complete and submit the winter content in december.

I think there is confusion here. The whole purpose of the event system was to avoid repeated client updates. I thought it was basically some 'on/off' switches, oversimplification I know... I thought the client update was for guild functionality and possibly tombs unless there was an issue with the client portion of the event system that needed fixing.

If we are waiting on the client update for the event that could be very unfortunate timing...
