I think the devs should take in consideration of making class exclusive gears. It has come to my attention that the game now only consists dual spec classes, paladins, Dex birds, and a handful of pure int mages. We see very limited variety in class now. The reason for this is the the mentioned classes are pretty much all that is needed to beat and farm endgame content.
What's my proposed solution? Make class exclusive gear bonus.
For example, the void set would have an additional set bonus +1 to a certain skill, or a certain boost to stats that ONLY birds would benefit from. However, those gears should have high state requirement (around 200) to prevent people from dual-speccing and encourage them to be a little bit more pure build. Of course, the current bonus will still be retained. The exclusive class bonus is just an added perk for going a certain spec for a certain class.
This way, the classes are going more oriented towards their role.
As in bears would be tank, birds will be the dps, and mages will be your typical nuker/healer class.
Of course, other classes will still be able to wear gears from its counterpart classes( like bears wearing cosmos set), but they just wont get the exclusive class bonus to prevent them from dominating its counterpart class.
