Hey, I am currently working on a pure INT build and had a few questions.

What is the best set to get when I hit 50.

How do I go about getting my Mega Mage set once I reach 55, is buying it my only option?

Best gear would be the Shadow set but you can get the cyber Cosmos or Mystery set from quests and they are pretty good. You can get mega mage either by farming or buying it at the CS.

Hey dota, I've actually ran some runs with you (keeper i think?). I currently use full shadow (and think it is the best for 50) with laser wand and creepy doll of shadows and it does awesome. kind of expensive though, so save up and buy piece by piece.

For three pieces, the helm, armor, and doll, you are looking at around 700-800k. (Closer to 700 if you find a great deals in CS)

Or if you use a staff, then you can subtract about 200k (cost of the doll).

Also, keep in mind your weapon. If using a laser wand - that's like 1--k. If using a keeper staff that's only like 5k.

Mega mage will go around 2mill with bracer and wand and 550k if you want to use blast staff. If you want the mega mage I suggest getting the gear form quests and save up for it.

Can't wait for Mega Mage to become "old news" lol. I am betting it will go down in price drastically in a few months. Whereas Shadow has, and will, keep fairly constant.

That is my point while Cyber gear and the new mystery set are not as good as the Shadow set, he might be better off saving gold to buy the mega mage gear when he reaches 55 and it might drop the price. He will get XP from doing the Cyber quest till he gets to 53 and by then he should have the cyber quest completed and money saved.
