Question about Database Error @11PM CST

Every day? Hmm I don't know about that. Today we were doing a hot backup of the DB which caused the site to hang for half a minute or so.

Yeah it happens to me a lot.
My reasoning is that your WIFI/Internet just got slowed down for a bit.
What I do is clear my Cache on iPod and it works again.

I also have noticed my Safari App crashing a lot more these last few weeks while posting in STS forums.

It happens to me and at least 4 other houses I've accessed the forums at. Different phones, different computers, desktop and laptops. And it's always at the same time, every other website works.
