Announcing the Design a Hat Contest – Enter Now Through Aug. 25th

A lid for your head is more than just to keep the rain off, or deflect the occasional Zombie attack – it’s about how you represent! Pocket Legends now has custom hats, a new feature of Version 1.3. The challenge to you is to design something your ‘toon would sport as you swing a sword, aim a crossbow or conjure up a fireball.

Here is how it works:
We have a list of Legendary Hat names (see below). Pick one that you think rocks, make a design for it and post to the message forum submission thread. Submissions can be entered from now, Tuesday, August 17th through Wednesday, August 25th at Midnight (Central). Then, the Pocket Legends Dev Team will pick their top three favorites for a public vote here on the forums. Those top three will compete to win the following:

Grand Prize
Spacetime Studios will create an actual in game hat item based on your design. You’ll also receive the coveted “Shield of Legends” along with 20 Platinum.

2nd Place Prize:
10 Platinum and the choice of any Hat from the Store.

3rd Place Prize:
Pick any Hat you’d like from the Store.

Are there any complexity issues? I am assuming the hat can not move except for perhaps an effect coming off it such as the music notes or snowflakes. Also, is it only on the head, or could it cover part of the face?

Pick one of those hats please. And yes no moving parts please. We can have particles coming off it like the headphones and santa hats.

What about covering part of the face, for example if it had sunglasses attached?

Yes on parts of the face being covered (like sunglasses). No on using existing hats as a starting point... sky is the limit here!

i get that you have to be 18 for legal reasons but its still a real bummer cuz i had a AWSOME idea for a helmet. Oh well i guess the pocket legends community is going to miss out. Is there any way or chance you could change the entry age?

On this thread you have the 25th listed as the deadline and on the submission thread you have the 22nd.....Please clarify...

If you are under 18, you can not legally consent to them using your original work in a profitable way which could turn into a nightmare for their lawyers

Your parents can enter for you if you are under 18. That's what I did for the last contest. I don't have to worry about it anymore. Turned 18 not too long ago.
