Uncrafted vs Crafted Blacksmoke sets – a detailed comparison

Hi all,


In tradition with previous caps, I figured it could be useful to post what exactly can be expected from crafting your latest L.75 Blacksmoke sets. That way you can make an informed decision before blowing loads of that hard earned gold on crafting materials.

Note that this is a work in progress. I have most crafted gear, but missing some screenshots. They will be added when I have some extra time


This topic will contain all 3 classes and is ordered as follows:

1. Mage 1H (Scepter/eye/egg) and 2H (staff) sets
2. Archer Recurve set
3. Warrior 1H sword/shield set

All screenshots below were taken without rings or vanities that added stats


1. Mage 1H set


When you were one of the lucky ones to get to 76 in 4 days and own the egg, this egg can be used in both uncrafted and crafted 1H sets (Scepter/egg) to complete your set (with sparkles and set bonus).

So, lets start with the scepter/egg sets

Uncrafted ‘Sharp dragonscale’ scepter/egg set

Scepter/eye set vs Scepter egg set

Unfortunately, I somehow lost my screenshots of the uncrafted scepter/eye (and staff) set, I’ll add that in later.

Instead, lets compare the scepter/egg set with the scepter/eye set

Mage 2H set

As mentioned earlier, I lost my screenshots of the uncrafted staff set, so for now I’ll only post pictures of stats from the crafted 2H staff set

Good job! Unfortunately the decision to not craft has been made for me. Twice I've gotten the 3x combo blessing and farmed for 3 hours each time (wearing big luck also). I didn't get any red gem. I did get a presto gem the first day and a hawkeye gem today though. Lol.

But seriously, I have seen 1 red diamond drop in hours of farming. Either my group is just unlucky or they're farmed in that paid dungeon.

And it's true that all faces give stats, but the stats you gain by crafting aren't affected by it. but yeah, your overall stats depend on the face you're using.

cool didnt wanna sound like i was nit picking, just didnt know if you had factored that into the " this is what you gain" bit.
people were asking if i was gonna craft and i didnt think i would want to, but being that i agonise over every point of crit and damage, it looks like i wanna.

The big complaint is bears do too much dmg. Just look at the skill dmg, numbers dont lie.
Mages do incredible dmg, more than a birds base health. This is not viable for pvp at all.
Pvp is dead (end game)

Nice comparisons though at least the sets look cool, and the dungeons.

If I vs any lvl 75 crafted mage there's almost no chance. I actually get ONE HIT KOD all the time while wearing full flying talon set wtf!?

Crafted flying set arent much better than humania crafted set, only a lil improvement in damage. Better stay with humania crafted till crafted flying drop in price.

Am I wrong or both uncrafted and crafted sets for bear lack a hit% bonus? Doesn't have even have it as a set bonus, as far as i am concerned.

Nope, you're right. No hit% from gear or set bonus.

Does anybody have screenshots of stats(including skill dmg) for uncrafted sharp wand/eye and staff set without vanities/ring?

Post them in this thread if you do
